Good question....I'm not sure. I just heard fall somewhere (can't remember where). I am not sure when a red caviar will come....sorry I couldn't be of more help 😔

My guess would be in May or June as it happened last time near there. Its been floating around with the time of Fall though. I was waiting for the red caviar too but waiting to see what this red chevron looks like first. I didnt want to pass up on good red and gold nand find out there is no caviar red or the caviar red isnt what i wanted sigh. !st world problems.

Oh boy, I think your right last year's was on May 1st. I think I'll check out the chevron too. It might be a real good one. I only wish it was caviar. I tell Ya I've been chasing my tail around trying to decide if I go for lambskin chevron or pay extra for caviar later in the year. I sure hope we'll both get what we wish for. And thanks so much for your input dear.

Your welcome! I have been waiting for this red caviar to come out since last spring. They came out with caviar boys and now I am wondering if that was the only caviar for now? I hope we both get what we want. I wanted a ml in red caviar before the increase but not sure what to do. If you wait its not a guarantee but if you pass the red chevron and it was a good red then you'd kick yourself lol Why does Chanel do this to me?! lol:nuts:

I have a feeling people are anticipating a price increase. for a while I would see around 5+(jumbo double flap) on fashionphile and now I don't see any. people are who are wanting(including FP) to sell their jumbos are probably hanging on to them until the price increase. the only CF's I see on FP now are single flaps or m/l

Is it possible that Chanel won't have a price increase this year or next? I mean they can only increase the prices so much until people stop buying them. Chanel has to price it just right so that it still feels exclusive but not too high where people stop buying all together.

I feel like they are trying to get closer to hermes status. I'm sure people will still buy if it increases and that is the problem. Sigh

I highly doubt it. Chanel increases prices every year...and often multiple times a year. Unfortunately, a price increase is inevitable 😫

My BG SA told me there will be a price increase at the end of the month. She said Hermes had a price increase and Chanel will do the same.

I don't know if it is a fact or rumor. The prices are out of reach for most people now. I have been considering buying a reissue or a classic but I keep changing my mind. I just can't pull the trigger on a $5-6k bag yet lol☺️

Chanel does not want sales, they want image. They can make fewer bags and raise prices and still make more money every year. Chanel wants people who say, "oh, I don't have that bag in that color/size/skin yet. I'll get it!" Eventually people will say enough, but the luxury market keeps getting more expensive because people are willing to pay it.

As much as I hate chanel price increase, I also don't want chanel to be in the same boat as certain luxury brands that are in trouble for flooding the markets.

I was in Paris last week and purchased a jumbo flap at the Rue Cambon store. The bag cost 3950 euro, which came out to 4400 US dollars. The exchange rate is great right now, so I lucked out. I also will receive my VAT refund back . Once that hits, my bag will end up costing me between 3800-3900 US dollars. That's amazing considering it costs $5500 here is the US.

Even if charged duty tax, it's still much cheaper to buy in Paris.

I just got back from Paris too, I was there for Valentines,,, I didn't plan on buying a bag at all.. I went to the 31 Rue Cambon store just to maybe pickup a lipstick.. and maybe some earnings.. I had no clue Chanel bags were cheaper in Paris... In talking with the SA and asking if the GST was being discontinued was when I saw the price tag... I was so shocked... I ended up purchasing the GST in Beige GHW.. The money I saved was AWESOME and the experience of receiving that white bag and white box was priceless.... I am returning to Paris in October and hope to buy another bag. The SA informed me that GST production for the United States has been stopped and will only be available in Europe and Asia. How awesome is buying a bag from the original store with the address on the bag and the SAVINGS.. I am still in shock :yahoo:
