Based on my intuition, I doubt that the price increase on the classics in the US will be Feb 1. We are too close to that date to have so many classics flooding the market with so many tpfers posting that their SAs have their shipments of the OOV classics now.

MJ, with another price increase, classic m/l is $4900 right now and that will push it above $5K.

Mini, GST and WOCs aren't considered classics for Chanel

The way I read it is that SA's comment is stating the price increase will come and classics won't be below $5K

Right. And I believe Chanel considers WOCs to be accessories (wallets) rather than bags.

Earlier ppl said Europe will have a price increase around mid Jan and we've passed that date.

Speculation of it happening in Feb - but this has been going on before christmas now, so I am unsure. Also apparently it will be effect all the 'Classic' line - this is what I have read on here anyway.

I heard the 1st of February and the jumbos will be pushing 6k! Crazy I have a white and a blk from 2007 with price tags of 2750!!!!!!

Jumbos are already past 6k in Canada

Prices went up on August 1, 2010 from 2995. to 3500. They were still single flaps, the double flaps started with the Cruise collection around November 2010 and went up to 3700. Additional increases in June 2011 to 4300, February 2012 to 4,900 and last May 2014 to 5500.

.i paid 4900 for both of my jumbos a couple of years ago, and I didnt even know that they used to be a single flap......they still look the same as the ones with single flap.....I just wonder if and when Chanel ever makes an obvious change to the classic flaps....

It's not that obviously on the exterior but the chains are positioned differently, the two holes or grommets? the single flaps have it side by side and the double flaps are place front and back.
It's very obviously on the inside and from the side.

I agree and I actually prefer the single flap as I find the double flap can sometimes be a bit fiddly and a bit of a waste of the space available inside? x

Do you all think it's safe to say this price increase isn't happening 2/1? I am planning on making a purchase in March!
