MJ - Did the prices go up around last May in Europe like they did in the US? IDK, Jan 15. seems so soon without any word or rumors before this? Could be just a rumor. :thinkin:

I was thinking it was a rumor too. Just because the SS15 lists are out and the classics are still at the same price. But who knows about Chanel. One manager told be it would be difficult to get after the new year but did not mention an increase in price :(

sorry for the mini rant :D:D:D

But yes, the prices increased in Europe in Mid-April 2014, about two/three weeks before they increased in the US... Well, we'll see if it's just a rumour - hopefully it turns out to be one, like I still hope it will be rumour that Chanel will discontinue the GST... they really should give us a break with these price increases/discontinue stuff

lallybelle & MaryJoe84: Crossing fingers it's some kind of not accurate info, but I was told about this from SA directly and I don't believe I was told that only to scare me.

US increase coming soon too apparently and on most desirable items, can't tell anymore, don't know if by the same date or around nor exact date

That said, if planning to get any be fast. Don't believe this was told to me just to scare me, Chanel is changing also policies of limit of bags per year per customer, don't know if this will be applicable to all countries (some already have those limits) but they are making major changes that are going to be effective around mid January for what I was told.

UK sales start January 3rd and Paris on the 7th, Paris only clothes and shoes, don't know the rest.

oh boy :tdown::tdown::tdown: Like I wrote, Chanel really wants to put on the "Very Exclusive" button... Well, I will try to get the GST ASAP in beige clair from my wishlist, because 1) rumour of it being discontinued and 2) possible price increase.. for the other items on my list, I don't know... Have to wait, if the price increase indeed happens, how much it will go up...

Well, there were so many SA's who told about price increases and never anything happened, so one can think they did this just to sell bags... of course I don't know how reliable your SA is, if she/he told you the truth or told you that to sell more bags...

regarding the limitation of bags per customer, I don't think that will be applicable to all countries... I live in Germany, and I don't think as a german resident the german Chanel boutiques would deny me to buy a bag each month or so if I wanted to buy every month a bag (just as an example)... I think they can make a difference between a possible reseller and a normal customer...

Maybe it affects non-EU residents from USA or wherever from who want to buy bags on their vacation in Europe... But on the other hand there is already a strict only one bag per passport policy, so who know what new policy Chanel has in mind...

For what I was told limit will be for bags per year per client... Don't know exactly to which countries will apply that rule

I just wish we knew for sure. I have the dark pink coin wallet but its more raspberry pink to me than red. I may but a ml lamb from 14b or 15c before the brink of price increase but Spring look book in US prices are not increased so I think I am okay for now. Oh well, if it was meant to be I will find it lol :p Good Luck! thanks for the info!
