One never knows when the price increase comes. In US, boy WOC went up from $2100 before May 1 to $2150 and now $2475 for black caviar boy from what I saw on the forum!

As long as the bag sings for you? Why not? Many ladies here also bought fuchsia lamb mini at $2900 after price increase since it came in so late in 14S.

Aargh it's so frustrating though! Other brands aren't that extreme, been doing some research - Hermes, Dior, everyone increases, but in a more sensible fashion and with smaller jumps in between.
Please Karl's minions, don't increase again before I get my next bag.

Last april I went to the Chanel store to buy my classic flap, it was really crowded in the store so I told that SA that I wanted the classic flap but that I would come back soon when it's not so crowded, when I came back 8 days later the price was increased with 400 euro. I couldn't believe that the SA that talked to me didn't mention anything about the price increase and that I've I came back later I had to pay 400 euro more.

So now I do try to keep up with prices, I was already planning on buying that bag so I should have got it right away, but it was so crowded and it was 30mins before closing time so I felt sad for the SA's that were running around.

I'm sure some of you already have this intel, but I though I would post anyway. Price increase to happen July 12 (This Saturday) on the following styles:

Timeless Clutch $2000 will go to $2500

Timeless Kisslock Clutch from $1900 to $2300

Reissue 224 size from $4200 to $4700

Timeless Ziptop Crossbody from $2200 to $2600

Chic with Me flap from $4200 to $4400

I don't know about increases on any other styles. This is all of the info that I have. Maybe someone else knows more?

Banned for bags for the rest of the year indeed, unless The Bag comes up it's nothing until the next spring/summer collection. No-one mentioned anything about accessories though (and keeping a close eye on bags coming out/signing up for bags/etc.) Do you have any idea how boring, I mean expensive, maternity leave is? PS don't visit the 'other indulgences' thread later tonight :roflmfao:

Boutique SAs are notorious about not giving intel.

And one of my Saks SAs said he confronted the buyer the day before price increase two years ago and buyer simply wouldn't confirm.

I guess we need to rely on each other for intel! The power of TPF!

Since I'm supposed to be on a self-imposed ban, I shouldn't even be reading this, but thanks for posting. I don't know what the timeless clutch is (that's what I always referred to the "kisslock" as). I also didn't realize that the 224 hadn't gone up when the others did. Good to know, I guess. I'm also not sure what the timeless ziptop crossbody is...is that the Daily Zippy kind of mini-bag? It's "interesting" [read as not fun, mean, and other adjectives/adverbs you want to add here] that Chanel is "sneaking" these increases in, such as how they've raised some prices, then raised them again, then once more all in the span of a couple of months (re: WOC, etc.).

Tutu, I am glad that I am not the only one that can't tell between timeless clutch and kisslock clutch!

I asked one of my SAs and he said all these items went up along with other items already on May 1. And Saks still rings $2300 for boy WOC although some posts here said $2475 and hence confused me!

Wow, I'm so confused. I thought the timeless clutch and the Kisslock clutch were interchangeable names for the same item. When I google search the terms it seems like the same bag. And I thought that bag
was already $2300 (listed in Hirsh). If anyone finds black lamb (GHW, in my dreams) at the old price in US or UK/EU please LMK!


ETA: Ha, how did I miss the post above mine that basically said the same exact thing? It's clearly time for bed...

I thought the boy WOCs were 2475 too according to some previous posts, but I just purchase a caviar boy woc from saks yesterday and it still rang up as $2300. The price increases are absurd, and seems like Chanel has been shortening the length of time on when they increase it as well... :(

Glad that you confirmed it. My SA rang one and told me it's still $2300. Whoo-hoo! I told him I can't stand another price increase within such short period of time!
