I was at the Chanel store in Neiman Marcus near me and the SA told me that she's been hearing that the price increase will happen end of August. She said that it's really the classic bags that will increase. GSTs and Cerf totes go up every 2 years so it will remain the same this year and same as the boy bags.

Boys aren't considered classic according to my SA. You're a "section" of its own, of that makes sense. She said the boy prices right now already reflect a price increase from previous year.

I don't think seasonal bags are going to change either since she said it's mainly the classic flaps.

The GST in the 33cm size is still AUD$3360 at the Sydney city store, I just got off the phone with them.

Yes, they did. They have had yearly increases (or more) for the past few years. Everyone thought the increase this year would be near the beginning of the year like last year, but it didn't happen at that time. When it will is anyone's guess.

That would be great news but yeah I agree there has been a lot of rumors lately. But I can't lie.. Every time I hear a rumor, it's hard to ignore it haha

Well I'm just happy that so far it's just a rumor I really hope the price increase will hold off til next year because i want another Chanel classic!!

Last increase was ~ Febr 2012. The next increase could be anytime but there is not much information on when this can happen. According to my best SA the increase is in Asia first and this as a sign that an increase could follow in the US as well. So far no rumors about the next increase but I have not asked about this in the past 3 months.
