I keep forgetting to post these from my NM SA. I’m not wowed by any of them. These are all that will be in store for release in store on Monday. I may get the mini yellow reissue or the pink mth. I don’t like the handle on the pink mini tho. The mini 22s may or may not be growing on me Does anyone know if the mini reissue will come in the same dark pink as the mini topView attachment 5790591

I through this is a backpack, maybe it's convertible? anyone has more info?

I am a huge fan of the reissue and have several from various seasons. Some of mine have arrived with the base bowing a bit. I haven't figured out why some have more of this than others. From what I understand the bag is actually suppose to be collapsible, think the original intent was for it to be easy to travel with, but don't know if that's true, if it's an urban legend, or a narrative created to try and put our minds at ease! Nonetheless, it can be a bit of a hassle, but personally not a deterrent to me for a bag that checks so many boxes...love that the reissue crossbodies so comfortably, the minis in particular are pretty spacious, and enjoy having options that are a bit under the radar.

I generally put a heavy pack of silica in mine, I buy the size probably intended for something larger like a duffel bag, but they're heavish so it seems to help a bit. Outside of that I generally only use air paper. I did try a shaper in one and don't think it did much for that particular issue. I personally get nervous about fiddling with the base, while I really believe in wearing my bags, I probably overindex on storing the bags (have a number of the luxury displays as well to keep chains off the leather)...working remote the bags just don't leave the house as often now.

P.S. the 22 mini sort of has a handle the way the strap is supposed to be used going so I think you're right lol!!!!!

Thanks for this! I agree the minis check a lot of boxes. I actually prefer the chain of the mini reissue vs the chain on the regular mini but the structure of the regular mini. I’m glad to hear it’s not just my store with the squeezing situation! My last mini reissue that I got was leaning and I took it back to the store because I store my bags upright. The base even seemed thinner. Now that you’ve shared the info above I will feel a little better Monday when I go in!

I think the reason the reissues are flat is because Karl Lagerfeld found it years ago in the archives and the bag was flattened. When he brought it into production, he had it made fairly true to the one he found. At least that’s what I remember the story being, but maybe someone else here can confirm or clairify.

The reissues are folded. That's why there is that bottom crease. Some can show this more than others, especially if it's completely fresh or maybe not as much if the SA may have "opened" it up. The bottoms flatten out and stand up from putting your things and and use, etc.

I wonder if the wooden handle and the strap are heavy? And how the chunky wooden strap might dig into the shoulders… they look good though!

My SA told me the wooden chain is really light.

The one without the chain detail on the handle is $5900. The one with the chain detail on the handle is $6600. Quite a jump since the last price increase

They’re both right I guess. Depending on what version you get the price will be different. The two versions will have different colors as well.
