I think this is relevant here, my SA's at Saks, NM, & stand alone have yet to say anything & I haven't brought it up!

Here is a message I received Thursday from my Nordy SA

SA: Hi Brittney! Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. For bags starting in 22a we will no longer be doing reserves, Shoes will still be able to preorder though!

Me: How will I purchase then, remember I'm remote only?

SA: First come in the stores so I'm recommending everyone come in on launch date or check back for new shipment info.

Me: So you cant ship anything? Going to the store is not an option. Is this Nordstrom's new policy?

SA: Chanel policy. We can only ship after something has been available for 2 weeks in store. Sorry to deliver this news hopefully something good will still be available for you.

I like how conveniently in this message whats omitted is that the vip tiers are doing reserves. I would rather be told this information. And I think on the last launch customers showed up at boutiques and department stores and a lot of the new merchandise wasn't in the stores yet. Interesting to see how some people in these Chanel bag threads will continue to get their wishlist dream handbags unless they are purchasing a certain dollar amount from rtw or high end jewelry.

Uh oh first limits and next up no more remote ordering? Hopefully you have other SAs that you can order from.

I wonder why does Chanel tell SA’s to say “we are no longer doing reserves” when they are. I mean almost everything in life has a tier system, why not just admit they have one? The half-truths on their behalf are weird. I’m guessing the secrecy method works for them. When the bags continue to sell they can do what they want.

I also wish they would tell people the full truth. My SA at Bloomies did tell me point blank that only certain customers could reserve and I appreciated it.

I definitely appreciate being honest upfront. Whatever direction they are trying to go in is cool. I’m not fighting for anyone to take my money if they don’t want it.

Oh goodness! I just realized that I’ve liked both 21b and 21a (my fav!) gray Chanel 19s! Does anyone have a pic of the 22a gray Chanel 19? If there will be a gray, of course!

eta: no 19 gray. I did see mini and small cf. I’m trying to be done with the cf prices lol
