Is that b/c you are outside the USA?
Yes I am located in Switzerland and I am not a VIP client. The limit doesn't apply for VIP clients. But the purple looks amazing. I would love to buy the beige and the purple
It is as well not possible to do reservations. And we don't have a huge choice. It seems for me that US, Dubai and Asian countries getting much more items than European countries. They told me once that the store in Dubai is ordering EVERY item of each collection. Even winter clothes and shoes which you usually don't need in this climate zone.

Wow! I know in the USA we are getting very little selection / sizes of the RTW (I am buying less of that b/c I am just not a fan of it anymore/ prices are ridiculous for quality) & each boutique has a very different order for leather goods. So it really all just depends on who you have a relationship with here....I hate to say personal shopper route, but there is always that?

We could never do some reservations in Switzerland. However they applied the restriction for 1 bag within 60 days last year. I had a very interesting conversation with someone in France who is really into fashion. She told me that the labels mainly produce for Asia clients at the moment. Rich people in Europe are no more willing (or fewer rich people) to pay 14K or a similar hugh amount of money for a single dress. People in Asia are ready to spend a lot on luxury items. That's why Europe is no more interesting for them. And additionaly vintage pices can be sold much more expensive (3 - 4 times) in USA than in Europe.
Every market is a bit different. It is interesting that you say that you are not willing to pay so much for RTW because I am asking me if they keep the prices for cf's for a while on this level just to see how much they will sell. Maybe some people are fed up with the price increases. Therefore I hope that they won't increase the cf's price for 22A...We will see.

The market, eventually, tops out. Would you pay $25,000.00 for a sweater? Or $30,000.00 for a classic flap? Of course not! So, there IS a number, somewhere, we just don't know what it is yet in the USA. Sounds like Europe might have hit their number (and maybe smarter than we are by far for that), and are retreating from lavish consumerism. Asia, yeah, sure, so much money there. I don't think the economy will always be this "robust" (superficially or otherwise) and eventually inflation will take a toll (interest rates up, less cash etc) so things will have to adjust (maybe not for the super wealthy tho). There is a part of this where you kind of go...where do I top out at stupid for paying this....for me, yes, RTW has already hit that.

According to my SA in Europe the demand for classic bags has grown even faster after the price increase. I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I can say is that from my observation classic flaps are much longer on display and I also see less people in the monthly threads that have purchased a classic flap (this however reflects more the US - since i think the purseforum does have less European members). I think that for non-super-rich people there is often a line of what they are willing to cross. Not because theoretically they can’t save the money up in a longer period but because they will compare the price of a luxury good relatively to what they possess and what they invest in. 6000 Euros is a lot, but compared to the average annual income of 40000 Euro you could say it‘s possible without sacrifices. 20.000 euros however reaches a point where you have to be VERY dedicated to get this luxury good because this is worth much more than let’s say for example a missed vacation, 2ndhand car or a new interior design.
BTW: Loveeeee your Chanel collection TraceySH and that you are a fellow Jumbo Lover .

CF's are DEFINITELY sitting around longer....I mean, there are still jumbos in pink from 22C around! That wouldn't have ever happened before...I think this year, esp with price increases from LV, Dior (and I guess another Dior PI coming) the market will be truly tested on what consumer are willing to tolerate....

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this but has anyone talked about these bags? The sequins CF one must be astronomically priced but what about the white WOC? Any idea about the cost of the white one? I can’t stop staring at them! Pics from Chanel app.
