hi, yeah my fossil had black rubber strap wth ss detail and stone set bezel..i wore it continously and after a few months i noticed two of stones were missing, i sent it to fossil repair shop by post as it has a 1yr warranty and since then, i've had no problems and no more stones fall out..that was almost 2rs ago!...fossil were really good and the watch was repaired very quickly.

i went in today and totally fell in love with the plain black resin watch, the sa said they'd have a white one out too....its really nice and simple very j12 but without the stones., they said that the resin is coated to be scratch resistant and all fossil watches r usually 5atm....so quite resilient..its about £99

shopoholic hav u come any closer to deciding?....me personally if i could only buy one watch, within your budget and wanted something that had a cool branding, i think toywatch as a watch brand has more street cred. the finishing/quality etc are prob about the same. your just paying a little more for the name. but toywatch was the original brand to take a serious classic rolex watch and make it into something fun and cool to wear.

if you live in london look in selfridges, they have some really nice colours, dark grey, purple and even a pale dove grey. if you def want white then go for toywatch.

I bought an all white ceramic Guess watch beforeI knew anything about Chanel's J12. When I first saw the J12 I thought to myself that Guess must have been 'inspired' by Chanel. :)

I love my watch, it is so heavy and very noticeable.

I do like the simpleness of the ToyWatch as the watch face on the Fossil did look a bit cluttered (that's just me). There's a shop about 20 minutes from where I live that sell ToyWatch, so I might have to look in there.

Thank you for all your help.

Hi, I think I am going to get this one. I like the clean lines etc.

Do you think I am buying into a fashion watch rather than a classic, or do you think this look might become a classic style?

toywatch has been around for ages, especially the classic style, this one is just slightly smaller, but a classic all the same. go for whichever u feel comfortable with, me personally i like the bigger dial, with the plastic rim..:), it looked better on my wrist.

I'm torn on the J12. The design is timeless. However, I don't know how long it will be fashionable to wear a white watch. IMO, the only reason why the white became popular is because celebrities started wearing it. But at the same time, many people already own an actual J12 or some reincarnated form of it from other watch brands, which could be interpreted as sign of it being inducted as a classic. Only time will tell.

I do like the Guess watches. Is this watch from GC collection?

No, it is from the regular collection. It's on the site, the stainless steel all white one. The picture doesn't do it justice. I've been around people who never notice watches and they complimented that one.

I want a GC watch, they have definitely caught my eye.

Bulova Accutron makes a nice watch in ceramic with diamond markers and accents on the bezel. Its the Mirador. Its looks even nicer in person.

I think if white does go out of fashion, it will always come back. Just like silver and gold come and go in trends, I think the white ceramic will be a part of that cycle.
