Chanel GST or LV leather speedy 25?

Thanks . I need to think this one out some more. I'm surprised many people don't like the speedy.
I love my chanel bags, but also appreciate my 30 speedy b in Damier Ebene. It is one of my go to bags when I am toting around my small children and when it is snowing outside. So I like the speedy for its functionality. I still think you should sell the burgandy gst because you already have it in black. I try not to buy two bags even though I might particularly love one style. I just feel that there are so many gorgeous bags/styles out there that there are no need for repeat bags. But the decision is yours to make. Follow your inner fashionista instinct. Good luck.

Thanks for advice mommalovebags! I have the NF in Damier Ebene for my go to bag. I am still deciding what to do. Perhaps I'll get quotes on both and that might make a difference as well.

I too am a vote for the get rid of both. You already have a GST, so get rid of the one you aren't totally in love with. Consigning or selling yourself you could probably make a tidy sum, either towards another Chanel or Louis Vuitton and pocket the rest. If you need/want to pocket more, than buy LV. If you are okay with having less money come out of this, then buy a Chanel.

However, if you get rid of one, my vote is LV. It's had a comeback lately, whereas Chanel is constant in resale and GST resale value will probably go up as supply runs out worldwide.

I really like your Speedy, though a 25 is a drop on the small side, getting in and out of it, etc. Between the two, my vote is to sell the GST. Totes come from every designer; no worries, down the road you'll find several you equally love.

Sell the gst and keep the speedy, or if you dont like the speedy sell both.

You already have the GST in black so sell the burgundy, the GST is very heavy and open on top, a speedy is more versatile and you can completely close it. Plus you can get a good price for your GST since a lot of people are still looking for one!

I love the Empreinte Speedy and of the two I definitely think it's the classier bag. I sold my brand new GST ( beige Clair with gold hardware) in less than ten months and during that time I rarely carried it. I bought it amid the discontinuation hype. I always felt the lining looked and felt " cheap". I find LV to be very classic, functional and chic. It depends on your personal style and bag style preference. I recently bought the LV SC PM and it is exquisite. If neither are must- haves, I'd agree with those who suggest selling both. As for resale, Chanel GST did Not get favorable quotes from consignment. I sold mine myself to a private buyer. Same with my nearly new Chanel black / gold hardware Cerf Tote. Resale quotes were low ball! I sold it on eBay for a fair price and was just happy to have it gone. I purchased another LV with those funds. Honestly, I prefer Dior and LV to Chanel, so I may be biased. I'd definitely go the eBay route vs consignment. I've been selling designer bags on eBay for many years and never have I had a bad experience. I set my price and don't budge. LV sells quickly in my experience. YSL bags are lovely and classy. If you sell both of your bags, I'd get a brand new bag that makes your heart sing! Good luck!

Anytime I'm not over the moon about a bag I sell. Just make sure whatever the sale "funds" is something you crave. That way you'll be too happy about your new item to miss the bag you sold.

That being said, I would also sell both bags. Neither strikes me as great "must keep" bags. If the Chanel was a red classic flap or the LV a limited edition, I might say hang on a while just to be veeeery sure you don't want to keep. But while these have somewhat unique colors, I think you could find something just as nice as each (perhaps in a different color) in the resale market if you just had to have them back later.

Try wearing them both again twice. Wearing a bag often makes my decision if I'm on the bubble about selling.
