Chanel GST or LV leather speedy 25?

I only attached photo of the Vuitton speedy 25 in empriente - grenade color. I'm assuming everyone on the Chanel sub forum knows what a burgundy GST looks like.....

So I spent a lot of money this holiday season and I don't have to let a bag go, but it would make things easier.

Chanel - pros - no longer available in US, don't think I could ever afford another Chanel in my lifetime. And I also own same bag in black.
Cons- very heavy

LV - pros - lighter weight, can be crossbody or handheld. I can buy more LVs in future cause less money than Chanel. Cons - not sure thoughts on color

Please everyone tell me which you think is the prettier stylish worthwhile one to hold onto. I am 51 yrs old in case you think one bag fits my age better.

An hour ago , I posted this on Chanel sub-forum and no responses there.[emoji20].

I don't have to but I might let one bag go to help fund my holiday spending this season. The GST is burgundy. Quite heavy and boxy but no longer available in US so I feel I should hold onto it. Will not be able to get this particular bag again in case I have seller's remorse. The speedy is easier to carry but I can certainly rebuy it but the grenade color may be discontinued. Both bags would probably give me a nice cash return. I'm guessing maybe between $1400-$1500 for each - not really sure - from fashionphile or yoogies. Both are rare but I will only let go of one . Please help me choose!

If you feel this way, maybe sell both. I like LV but not in this colour and also I prefer discreet stampings/branding. LV has some very nice leather bags that are quite discreet like the SC, which I really like both for the type of leather and the style.

Do you use your black GST a lot? If not, there is no point in keeping a dupe. I am not a big fan of the speedy nor the empreinte, which leads me to agree with Minty Tea that should get rid of both of them.

Well, this isn't probably the greatest help but I would probably get rid of them both and buy something altogether different. You already have a GST and can get some other LV in the future. Why not a Saint Laurent or some other lovely but different bag?

Probably not quite as expensive as Chanel but close. I have taken to looking at good second hand bags from trusted sites. That way there's no guilt if I sell one and get another. I can indulge being fickle if I am not paying full price and do the one in, one out thing.

Yeah, I would go for this as well. Get rid of both, get another LV if you wish. But that's me speaking as "if that were me..."
If you don't want to do that (getting rid of 2 bags is hard!) get rid of one you don't wear. So perhaps the burgundy GST?

Not sure how helpful this is, but I would always choose Chanel over LV, you can always repurchase the LV if you are feeling any regrets later on, but w price increases and gst's being discontinued, it would be hard to repurchase in the same condition and price as you got yours for

It doesn't sound like you love either that much since you can consider parting with them. So I see why they say that. I would keep the one that is easier to carry since I would probably wear it more.
