i had a pair of CL flats and had the same issue; i purchase them right before going abroad so i wasnt able to take them back--but i stretched them myself; all you need is ziploc bag and water and freeze them..it gave me almost a half size and wider in the toe area!

i think you can also youtube how to do it??

i'm usually a size 7 at nine west sandals or a 7c at cole haan so i have very wide feet.

i have flats from tod's and i'm a size 38 or 39 there. i buy the ones with the elastic so even if the shoes are big they still grip the back of my foot. i learned my lesson the painful way when i tried on the 37 1/2 & the 38 the SA said the 37 1/2 looks better. so i got it and after an hour of walking in them i had very painful sores at the back of my foot already. so i put band aids. then more walking to give the shoes a chance. no go. for some odd reason my feet swelled more so back to the store they go!

i also have a pair of prada loafers and they fit true to size. they're quite comfy too. roomy at the toe box.

Wow, thanks for the tip. I've never heard this. I might try this on a pair of my flats.
Off to youtube now :)

You could also try wearing them w/gym socks at home to stretch them out. I've heard anywhere from an hour before... to wearing them around the house for a day or so.

As for sizing: I find Chanel flats fit anywhere from TTS to 1 whole size up.

As for fit: I've found that I tend to slide my feet forward when I walk, so I need a flat that fits snug. Otherwise, I slide my feet forward, my heel comes up, and then I lose my shoe. So I expect my flats to be snug around my toes (and heels) but not so much that they're uncomfortable. Once I have a new pair of flats, I only wear them out for an hour or two of light walking in the beginning, to slowly break them in. With that being said, after a long day out, I always like slipping back into flip flops when I get home. ;)

I would try sizing up about half a size. Maybe half a size larger will give you more room in the toe area. I've always found that some shoes just have smaller toe boxes that don't seem to fit everyone. Or even try a different style instead.

I've yet to find a flat that fits without being tight in the toes. I've even had a pair stretched and they were still small in the toes, so I returned them. I really want a pair of flats, but comfort takes priority.

they let you return the shoes after you stretched them?? :weird:

Lol.I got two pairs pF Chanel shoes delivered today and they both ran small for Chanel..i have to exchange for half size bigger in both( camellia ballerinas and cc heel slides)

If your feet slip out of the 1/2 size up, I wouldn't exchange it. Padding flats with heel grips really doesn't work. In my experience padding works best on heels, not flats. I think you should keep what you have and try to stretch it, or try a different style completely.

 Seriously? How does that work?

 Seriously? How does that work?

there is a youtube video of it being done; but for me i tweaked it a bit; step by step:
need: 2 ziploc bags; pair of ankle socks (or kids); water

i marked first the bottom of the bag half way mark and the right side of bag half way mark; put water in the bag tilting the bag at an angle; dont let the water past the marks on you ziploc make sure you are under the marks (for flats); roll up the ankle sock and put in the ziploc bag corner with the water; one for each bag of course; now put it in the flats; push the socks into the toe area as much as you can (careful you dont rip/poke the bag); by now your sock should have soaked up some of the water in the bag....now put them in the freezer tilting the flats up toe area down;leave it for several hours or leave it overnight; it just needs to freeze to stretch; repeat as neccessary (i did it twice=perfect)

experiment at your own risk :p
