Chanel flap - why is there a difference in the trim?

Two years late but heck just sharing what I know and have researched on extensively. The edge stitchings come with the rev models only like the black n beige cf. These colours are the only caviar leather which apparently are thicker n somehow slightly "smoother or flatter caviar pebbles" compared to the seasonal colours. The seasonal colours caviar do not come in edge stitchings coz the leathers are usually softer than the rev ones. U can also observe the caviar grains / pebbles on the seasonal caviar are different from the rev like it's more defined

Thank you - personally I prefer the smaller grain no stitching - it creates more shine and I think from far away these bags look more similar to lambkin which I love but is just to delicate for me because I don’t like the aged/flattened look.
