Completely agree! In a very similar boat and hoping trendy is not in the cards this time around and they allow it a few more months so that folks like us can take advantage of it :cool:. My SA says the list is not out yet and they have not heard anything about trendy's. But really contemplating biting the bullet worse case and may be take a good long break from the brand. :P

I’m waiting on a 21A seasonal item order (thank heavens the price won’t increase lol) to come in and I think this will be my last Chanel purchase. I’m definitely going to boycott Chanel - maybe for a while or permanently… we’ll see lol (good for my wallet anyways!).

Completely agree with you guys on that. I’m quite disappointed at Chanel this time. We already had a big price increase in May last year so this big price increase coming up really leave a bad taste in my mouth. I know they always have price increase at least twice a year but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. Before May last year, the small flap was $5200, but after this July, it’s $7100. That’s just insane. Last year at the beginning of the pandemic, everything was shutting off so not a lot of ppl were buying luxury. But due to the price increase, everything was flying off the shelf. And I realized how good Chanel was at doing business. They weren’t messing around. But the another big increase just the following year? C’mon… :tdown::tdown::tdown:
The only fortunate thing for me is that I already have a pretty good sizable collection and I do love what I have. So going forward, I would really think hard about what I want to get. I already preordered a few bags for 21K and I think I’d take a little break after that. I know lots of ppl talking about moving to Hermès. However their bags aren’t my style. Chanel is still my number one fashion house for me. But I’ll just enjoy what I have and focusing on travel and other things. Would love to hear you guys’ thoughts

I share your disappointment and feel that this time Chanel is really pushing my limits! I am also fortunate with the collection I have, hence no need to make any new purchases. Luckily, during the pandemic period, I sold quite a few old Chanel bags and replaced them with the bags from latest collections adding a lot of different colours and sizes.
Though I love Hermes bags, I adore Chanel and find them completely different. They both have a place in my heart.
I have to see how I will react when I visit the Chanel store after the price increase, but based on the current feeling, it does not look really promising:)
