Ahhh you’re giving me hope! I want a small size classic flap in red caviar so badly!!! An SA from New York told me it seems the red caviar is only coming in medium size. May I ask if your SA told you when it will come in?
She didn't have a date. They've started getting items, but so far I've only seen a couple of the minis, the dark purple (grape) m/l CF, wocs, a couple of 19s and lots of jewelry and other accessories. Hopefully we'll start to see some of the classic flaps in the next few days. I'll share the small CFs when I get the photos if they're not posted yet.
That would be lovely if you could share pictures once you get it (: I received pictures of the 20B small classic flap in red lambskin with silver hardware. I don’t like the color as much as the 20S red (the small on the left is 20B, medium on the right is 20S). The 20B has a bit of a brown undertone. I’m really hoping the caviar version would be nice and that they really do have it in small size.
Should mention that I was asking about chevrons, as I am a bit chevron-obsessed. She said there would be a red Small in chevron, but believe there is a red quilted in small as well. Don't know why the waiting seems so tough, but I guess it's all part of the magic!
Ohh that’s good to know! I think they’re saving the best for last (; Do you know if you need to put your name on the waitlist if there’s a particular bag you want? Sorry for all the questions! I’m from the Bay Area but usually make purchases when traveling overseas so I don’t have an SA here that I’ve built a relationship with.
I'll ask my SA if I can give you her information...if she's ok with it then I'll DM you with it. I think she's off for two days, so I might not get back to you right away. She's in Vegas at the Bellagio (I'm in the Chicago area). I would recommend at some point, building a relationship with a SA in the US so you can improve your chances of getting items. Likely there is a list, but honestly things aren't operating at they did pre-Covid...less clarity on dates, understandable but it seems inventory is less predictable. Not just with Chanel, finding LV in the same boat, perhaps even moreso.
There are probably Bay area folks on TPF who could also give you someone local, ideal if you can find someone at a dept store and a stand-alone boutique since there are dept store exclusives and often have more relaxed return policies...just my thoughts.
Ohh that would be so great if your SA is okay with giving me her contact info. Thank you for asking her! It makes sense that the process is different now because of COVID. Let’s hope things get better soon... or at least by the end of the year.
I did call customer service and they directed me to someone at the local boutique. She texted me pictures of a bag but it wasn’t the one. I followed up by asking about the red caviar and never got a response. It’s hard to make a connection unless you go to the store and even then, not all SAs here are friendly or helpful (I always get such good experiences with SAs in Paris though).
I do believe that the Chanel boutiques in Vegas receive more inventory as a lot of tourists go there to shop!

Finally got my 20b mini rectangular flap bag! She’s so beautiful! Thanks to my amazing fashion advisor from Hawaii for making it possible to get my hands on this beauty! ♥

Following up on all the posts about the 20B dark red / burgundy caviar leather... I had hoped to order the jumbo classic flap in this variation. The boutique I visited had not yet received their allotment of classic flaps, but was able to find an SLG example of the color, which I believe is coded N8409 ("Burgundy"). I've attached a photo below - to my eye it definitely had brown undertones, and was not the scarlet / crimson I had anticipated. More of a brick red. It was not my perfect match, but hope others will find it's a perfect fit for their fall wardrobes...!
