I was enjoying my time on ban island, sunbathing and sipping on my drinks. But I got a message saying the 22C pink is tdf. So I had to immediately swim back. Out of breath and almost die from drinking too much water, but I feel like the luckiest person since I was able to acquire both of these without reserving phewww I guess there’s no ban island for me, can never stay there for too long. Classic flap with rose gold hardware was a seasonal item from 21B, two seasons ago, might be quite hard to locate from a boutique now, wish you luck!

You're right. I called Customer Care and was told they were sold out.

I totally understand the frustration. Since the collection came out, I texted like 20 ppl trying to look for it. Some sa didn’t even bother to reply me. The same thing happened to me with 21A gray. But I wasn’t this lucky at the time. The collection is still dropping slowly at the boutique so I’d recommend to watch the stock thread closely. They do show up once in a while. Good luck

That’s a pretty bag! I feel like all cFs have that wrinkling around the flap but it certainly is more noticeable with the smooth calfskin. I would guess that with use, any further wrinkles would be just as noticeable and maybe the bag as a whole will even out to the eye? Trying to be optimistic because the bag is so pretty.

Thanks! The colour is ecru and I love the colour very much! I was never interested in the small, but feel the chevron looks best in small size.

Other than wrinkling around the flap closure, the natural grain of calkskin seems wrinkly too and I certainly wonder if it will become more pronounced over time..

Hi everyone, I need a little help here. I’m thinking of getting this chevron small classic flap. It’s however made of smooth calfskin which I am not familiar with. It is definitely not as buttery and smooth as lambskin, but feels sturdier. My concern is how it will age with time, as I notice due to the drier texture, there is already some wrinkling. Does anyone know how smooth calfskin will age? Will it get more wrinkles? I’ve enclosed pictures I took in the boutique of the bag and also close ups of the already-present wrinkles. Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Gorgeous color - did you see and touch the bag in person? I saw the black version of this in person and immediately passed because of the leather. Same concerns as you but also the leather seemed so scratch prone. Even lambskin felt like it would be more hardwearing over time than this calfskin.

The other deciding factor when I held it was the finish - it seemed so dull in person because of the leather.

I do think this bag is a cutie but I feel like there will be other cute chevrons in the future with better leather imo

Pretty bag! I have an 18A small Boy in black Chevron with smooth calfskin. NO WRINKLING was present on it at time or purchase or now. Not sure what's going on with this potential bag.

It’s more a blue green with a gray undertone (leaning more green). Honestly gorgeous as I loved 18c,19c, 20c blues (but felt they were a bit bright to match).

You are right. It didn’t wow me anymore today as it looked dull. I typically prefer a matte over shiny look, however, somehow the colour just pulls off a tad too greenish yellow for most times when I was trying it on. I think it will look too dull and very casual. Also, I totally agree with your last statement! I can wait for another chevron that I will be 100% satisfied with.

Glad you went back for a second look. It definitely wasn’t meant to be. Sounds like the color, material and pattern combination was all wrong together and you had a good instinct about it from the start!

The code is NG117, sorry I didn’t take a picture of the tag. I usually love ecru too! Found these photos from the stock thread, as you can see the colour varies quite a bit depending on the lighting! I would say the third photo is probably most accurate but it definitely could look yellowish under warmer lighting.

That is SUPER helpful. Thanks for the color code and the pics in different lighting. It does turn almost green! I may have to rethink the color. Lol At least I know the color I’m looking for is an off-white light linen color that does not lean yellow. Keep me in mind if you come across that color please. ❤️
