Yes, I heard the same. Is calfskin durable? I wanted a Caviar Boy because I have a 4 year old at Home and a Baby on the way!
I’ve heard that distressed calfskin is more durable to scratches than smooth calfskin. I think this boy is a smooth calfskin.
Lambskin is the most sensitive. I’ve heard calfskin is pretty good. I don’t wear my nails long so I hope it will stand the test.
I only have purchased caviar and distressed calfskin due to my clumsiness!

I went to the chanel store today and i was told cruise is coming out nov 17 in canada! I take it the bags will have the price increase built into them.

I would keep them both too - 2 different looks. If they made the "Lt beige" more often like the "beige clair" I would say wait and get it another time. But it doesn't come around much!

I also think the size of the actual bag is a bit bigger than rectangle minis in the past, but that may just be due to the stitching around the flap making it appear larger.
And the caviar is matte. I was surprised how matte it appeared in the store. But the more I look at it in different lighting and the more I touch it, it seems to have more lustre. Wondering if maybe the caviar will gain more shine the more it is handled. I'm not worried about it though, and I actually prefer the toned-down look.

Thank you! The chain length seems shorter to me than previous rectangle minis. I haven't measured this one specifically, but I have passed on rectangle minis for a long time because the strap length was just too long. This length is more reasonable. I will try to post some mod shots comparing it to a mini square soon.
