I have a old medium boy with age gold hardware. I like the edge, casual look and how easy the bag matches with my outfit effortlessly. The bag and the strap is very comfortable to wear. However I regret the gold hardware. I prefer ruthenium but at the time when I purchased it in Europe, only the gold one was available in the store. So I picked it because of the good price compared to US. Sigh…
As crime has increased recently in US, I feel uncomfortable wearing my boy bag due to the logo lock and the eye-catching gold hardware. I started to consider selling my boy in the next few years (I still love the edgy look) and switch to reissue (I always don’t like the distressed leather but find ok with the Chevron style). So I suggest you to think about the hardware when you pick a bag and whether you like the chunky chain of the boy bag.
