I wanted to know if this was universal or given to certain people? I have been trying to get into South Coast Plaza Chanel and it seems like I am begging them to service me. I had drive to the boutique to get a specific number from security outside the door, call them and then give them my full name and address in order for the customer service rep to reach out to the boutique to let them know I was interested in purchasing items. Is this due to covid19 or security reasons, I was told by the rep it was for security. I have purchased from other luxury boutiques in this plaza such as fendi, Miu Miu, LV without this hassle just a wait in line situation. This is very inconvenient and concerning . What do you think or know?

Oh strange! I thought SCP Chanel was open to public since June 20th. If you can make an appointment that’s probably better to avoid crowds/lines..

Chanel in SF is strictly by appointment. The Louis Vuitton in the same city is just by waiting in line but you have to wait for an SA to be assigned to you before you can go in. My SA in SF is taking orders via the app if you would like her info, feel free to send me a pm. ;)

The measures are taken to be safe for customers and their staffs. It’s taking longer since the process require more steps and my SA has mentioned they have been extra busy since reopening.
I mean everything takes a little long now a day, it’s normal to wait in line just go to any store at the mall in my area

Hmmm. Haven't had any experience with Chanel lately. But...the H store at SCP makes appointments over the phone and you just show up at their exterior door with ID and they let you in. I think right now, with COVID on the rise in CA again, it's not the time for browsing, but going in and purchasing the item(s) you requested (with mask on) and then leaving seems ok to me.

I have an appointment w my SA on Worth Ave Palm Beach Fl tomorrow and yes she said an appointment was required. Now is this because they are on commission and say that or is it true I don’t know so I booked an appointment and will update with any stock I see of course one has to be discreet !

My SA at SCP also told me you can only visit the store by appointment, in an effort to protect employees and customers. I could’ve made an appointment with her via text, so if you have a dedicated contact you should be able to get an appointment pretty easily. I’m not in So Cal right now so wasn’t looking to go into the store anyway, but she was able to send me pics of the type of bag I was looking for and then provided a link for me to pay when I found what I wanted. I was able to do everything virtually and my bag arrived perfectly two days later, so another alternative to shopping in boutique

I think that complicating the problem is that the stores opened up right in the middle of their bi-annual sale (for non-purse items). So they had a backlog of RTW customers who were waiting to grab sales items once the store opened. I know both my SAs were overwhelmed and didn’t get back to me for days. One completely forgot me and I lost that sale item

Where I am, you can walk in if the store is not too crowded but it's better to have an appointment because otherwise you are more likely to wait outside till they let you in ;) NM is appointment only which you can book online

My Saks SA, who is the Chanel specialist, will not see anyone without an appointment. Even though the store lets people in, a few at a time. Big line outside. I am not interested in shopping with other people in the store right now. My H store is appointment only as well.

I had to wait online for a Chanel boutique inside of a mall. In another state two stand alone boutiques I was able to walk right in. NYC 57th street location they opened at 10:00 am.
