Chanel Beige Clair Still Relevant?

I have been on a waitlist that's a mile long for a small caviar with GHW. Unless they're just not making it, which I doubt, I think its very much still in demand  I've also seen several posts on the ISO thread. I don't think neutral color will ever not be in demand.
how long have you been waiting? Also where are you based?
It is very relevant. My sister has been on the hunt for one for 2-3 years and placed herself on a wait list for the jumbo beige clair w/ ghw with 3 SAs. I've asked multiple other SAs for her too. Between 3 of my sisters, we've been able to get any bag we wanted because we are purse addicts and shopaholics.

For some reason, couldn't get the beige clair until last week. a lovely tPF member helped me get the medium beige clair before the PI for her.
The wait list for beige clair is super long and on high demand.

I had no idea it was that difficult to get. I went into a store about a year ago and they had one in medium gold. I wasn’t in a position to get one, so didn’t buy it then, also I want to get the small. I know the small is harder to get, but Even this I thought I’d prob wait a couple months max.

I hate to be an outlier here, but I find BC to be yellowed, dated, and stuffy on young people. There are far better seasonal naturals, imo. This is simply my opinion, so don't come for me. While I'm unafraid of giving my opinion, I'd rather enjoy my Halloween Twix bars in peace.
I agree with you that it can be yellowed, this was my original thoughtl I saw it in person and it’s gorgeous. I still sometimes think it’s a bit too yellow for my liking So I’m glad you brought it brought it, was wondering if others fel like this as well.
Also I’m a big fan of Chanel white. For as long as I could remember Ive always wanted a white classic flaps, but I like a contrast bag with white outfits so choosing to go with the beige instead, but as you can tell still conflicted on this.

I agree that it's a bit too yellow for my liking that's why I was so happy when the dark beige came out in 21a . I ended up getting a cocohandle in dark beige with ghw. My triplet sister loves the classic beige clair more. It's definitely a personal preference. There will always be a group of people who love classic beige clair. The resell market for it is hot. (I never resell but when we were looking for it, it was priced above retail).

My SA had brought one out in small size and at that time, I was not ready to buy another CF as I had just bought a black Jumbo CF so I politely declined to even try it. But to this day, I regret not checking it out. Now they have had no beige CFs for a while. I got a jumbo single flap in beige claire and used it a lot in spring/summer with dresses and even jeans, lighter color shirts but soon noticed a lot of structural loss despite good storage so I sold it. I have no regrets selling it but more regret not getting the small size my SA showed me last year. It will now be more expensive than the Jumbo and I am priced out :(

I'm in SF, on the waitlist at a SF boutique and also with SAs (central and east coast) at NM. It's been 5-6 months so far? The SF SA (I also asked Palo Alto NM SA who said the same thing) did warn me that the wait really long for the small beige caviar.

I have never been a fan of it as others have said too yellow. Then there was an issue with it not being produced routinely but more as an occasional seasonal bag. Then it came back. I don't tend to see it on the new buys thread as much so that may lead to perceived unpopularity. That it seems may be wrong though based on this thread with the comments on long waiting lists.

I bought it with silver hardware first since it was available first and slightly easier to get but returned it for the gold which is my preference. I think the gold hardware makes the color appear more yellow. My friend has it in silver, and it has a cooler color tone and is younger and more modern.

Chiming in my two cents as I used to want a beige clair CF but have since changed my mind. Reason being some shades of beige clair looked yellowish to me and would not be very complimentary colour to my skin tone. I also read somewhere here that someone mentioned it looked like raw chicken skin (I guess because of the caviar grain) and I just could not get rid of that visual! One day I saw this CF in a super versatile off-white ivory colour which I fell in love with and it was then I knew I definitely did not need/want a beige clair anymore!

I don't think it's "irrelevant" but it certainly is in my wardrobe. It just looks too yellow and I agree that it is kind of stuffy and aging. I can't think of a single shot of it that I have ever seen that I haven't thought that the outfit would've been better if the flap bag wasn't beige.

I bought it because I thought I should have probably five or six years ago and have only carried it twice because it just doesn't work for me.

The thing I've learned about colors on bags over time, is that how they look is totally dependent on the outfit. The beige claire pops beautifully against camel coats and brown colors. It also looks gorgeous against dark blue or navy or dark green. I have several color bags that I rotate based on what I'm wearing (for example my red Chanel I love against white so it gets more use in the summer). I actually use my beige Claire more in the Fall, it's just gorgeous against camel color.

This might off topic, with all white/cream winter coat/outfits, which color bag is better? Red or beige?
