Hello, I am so sorry but I’m very new to Chanel.
When you say department stores will have leased Chanel locations does that mean they will basically be a stand alone boutique?
So if I purchase an item from the Chanel store in my Nordstrom then it will no longer be listed under my Nordstrom purchases?

When you purchase from a leased Chanel w/in Nordstrom the purchase is still listed under your Nordstrom purchases. When I’ve purchased RTW and bags I receive two receipts, one from Chanel and one from Nordstroms. You also earn Nordstrom points. My last purchase was a few weeks ago and the item shows up on my Nordstrom purchases.

The last time I made a purchase (12/2020) you could. If there’s a promotional 10 point day, you can also have your Chanel purchase count too.

10 points events are the best of you can get the timing right to purchase a Chanel bag. You can rack up on Nordy Notes very quickly on CF purchases.

I just purchased over the phone from Chanel in Nordstrom. The SA activated my double points day. This was my first Chanel purchase since I don’t live near a store. I believe that Nordstrom allowed me to make the purchase since I have a lot of shopping history at Nordstrom.

I guess to answer your question, it may depend. For example, I purchased from San Diego and Topanga Nordstrom’s Chanel, before Topanga became a Chanel leased location. I’m not sure if Mall of America Nordstrom is Chanel leased, I’ve heard it was, but I just bought a bag from them over the phone and they didn’t send me two copies of the receipt (usually I would get department store and Chanel receipts).

As far as I know for sure, Chanel inside Nordstrom in Topanga is a Leased Boutique (just reiterating).

Non leased locations as of right now are San Diego, Portland, and maybe Mall of America.

To be honest though, during COVID-19 lock down, I had no Chanel profile, but I think mine was created when I had talked to someone either in NJ Neiman Marcus or Atlanta Saks when I bought a bag through their SA. May have been a fluke, but it was definitely an appreciated fluke that they let me buy at a Leased boutique with only their department store purchase history. Now I’m free to shop wherever

My understanding at least with the store Nashville is that it will not. They are a hybrid store as my associate calls it so they can source from other Chanel boutiques but your purchase from Nordstrom Chanel won’t show up in the overall system at boutiques or Neiman Marcus

I’m pretty sure that Nordstrom MOA is leased. I was in there a few months ago and they didn’t have any inventory and when I asked what happened, they told me that they were transitioning to being leased. Now I don’t know if they are hybrid or not.

It just depends on how much you spent and what your status is.

if I buy a chanel 19 at 5700 I would get 34,200 points which would be 342 dollars for example

How did you get so many pts? I bought mine at $5500 and got 11,000 pts with double pt day.
