It would bother me. Having bad experiences with any special treatment (shiny, patent, metallics) I stay away from these bags for that very reason you are seeing. Have you taken to the store to find out if they can "fix" it, it should be under "warranty"

Highly considering putting myself on the waitlist for a small in black but have some hesitations. Has anyone had issues with discoloration of the gold chain where you expand/close the opening of the bag using the CC? Wondering if overtime there will be color change here from all the rubbing. Would love any thoughts!
The hardware is aged gold so it’s already got a discoloured appearance but definitely on my lighter coloured 25 bags I’ve noticed wear on the leather interwoven into the chain from rubbing. Both black marks from the aged gold hardware and actual small frays to the actual leather from the cc clasp when the leather is being pulled through. Neither are noticeable unless you look very closely but it’s definitely a hazard of wearing the bag. I personally think this bag is one to be used and enjoyed - it’s a daily bag - so im not very bothered. If it was an occasional special bag I would be more bothered about it.
Agreed, also worth noting that so far I've kept the pull cord closure in the same place and have really used it as a semi-open throw in/tote kind of bag (I have the small in light grey), which has made it so easy to use and secure enough for suburban mom everyday wear -- I'm sure there will be times I secure it more or open it wider but I change the closure way more than I ever would have thought, which is great bc I'm never really fiddling to open the bag, which is the usually one of the hardest parts of trying to use other Chanels for everyday
For those who own the pink 25 in Caviar leather, is the engraved text on the side pocket CC hardware filled in with black? I feel like I've seen both versions in store and I'm trying to understand why.
I was in the Chanel boutique in Düsseldorf (Germany) last week. There were only the Medium and Large in black and burgundy. Unfortunately not a single small size. They told me that they won't be getting any more Chanel 25s and that these would be the very last ones in this shop...I'm so sad. Do you think it's still worth going back in a week and checking to see if you've gotten any more bags?
The bag is not being discontinued anytime soon so that is definitely cap.
Thank you very much. At the beginning of September, the store will also be moving to a space 70% larger. I hope there will be some restocking then. I'm not giving up hope. I'm already considering buying from a reseller...there are very few that aren't reselling it for much more money right now.
