Most of the celebs "borrow" these from various places ... e.g., Neil Lane, Fred Leighton, Harry Winston for these events. The only exception is likely Victoria Beckham who has made it very clear that she doesn't "borrow" any jewels because her husband has bought a number of lovely pieces for her (lucky her, right?!?!).

So, here's the downside of having earrings like this (I splurged after Y2K and bought myself a pair of 6cttw diamond studs - 3ct each ear) ... I almost always NEVER wear them for fear of losing one!

I love big diamond studs Kimora has an awesome collection and JLos are huge wow! I would love to have a pair her size hey if you're gonna do it do it up! I would want mine to be pink diamonds though, theyd look really cool against my offbeat style and wild hair.

I don't have a picture at the moment but here's a quote from Pharrell I saved from 2007. I love his style, and was intrigued by the amount of thought he put into the size of his diamond studs. :p

"D-Flawless," he says, anticipating the question. "Four carats each. When you get them small, like one carat, you look like a stereotype. When you get them at six carats, it's just completely ostentatious. But when you get them at four carats, and if you don't have a huge basket that holds the stone, then it's pure stone against your ear, and the statement is just a little more interesting."
