I have been stalking these earrings since I saw them in SATC2. Eventually I want earrings by her. These are Geode with Diamond earrings by Kimberly McDonald.

I liked her jewellery too....until she came on tpf and went cray cray on some people LOL

my favorite is anna della russo because she's so out there and bold and no matter how crazy her outfits and accessories are it somehow works!!? it makes me want to take more risks!

Those posts were unprofessional, rude and disconcerting to designers who are not as well known. Apparently she only became someone because of the celebrities she outfits. Michele ***** wore her jewelry for the inaugural reception. Wonder if she gets insulted when Michele wears her jewelry with her J Crew outfits.

Wow! What I thread I had missed. That is so shocking. I went through all the emotions of not knowing who she was, liking what I saw and then pure revulsion at how this was handled.

Candice, you stood your ground well! I actually met a designer last year at a big trade show in Vegas that worked beautifully with geodes but her name escapes me. Her lookbook is at my office. She had a showing at Bendel's this year, it was all over the windows in March or April. Anyway, she's not a celebrity jeweler but her stuff is gorge! I'll get back to you on Thursday.

I don't know much about secretive Lorraine Schwartz (like what? no website??) but I love what I've seen from the Angelina Jolie emerald earrings, even Kim Kardashian's wedding "bracelet" - all beautiful stuff.

Lorraine Schwartz has really nice pieces! I LOVE her bracelets and rings, but not crazy on her necklaces or earrings. thinking about Angelina jolies emerald earrings and ring she wore from LS still make me drool! others were probably drooling over how beautiful she is....i'm just lookin at the jewels :supacool:

Does anyone have any real evidence that is actually the designer and not someone posing as her??
Reason I ask is I can't imagine a designer coming on here and being so rude
I hate fakes/knock offs but she didn't need to be so rude about it
I am strongly against fakes , but candice you weren't talking about buying a fake or knock you'd just pointed out it was overpriced for what it was and that you can buy similar bracelets elsewhere cheaper
There's a big difference between an actual fake/knock off which I don't agree with , to finding a similar design which I would do myself
It's like buying an Eddie borgo instead of an Anita Ko
It's not a fake it's just a more affordable version of a similar design

Sorry if that's not the best example x

I laughed my face off at that thread. The ego on that poseur! She acts like she designed anything or created anything new or special. She copied something that had been done long before she ever came around, and tries to act like she's done something original and that shouldn't be copied by anyone else. So by her words from those posts, she has artisans do all the work (bec she doesn't do the setting/handwork herself!) on the stone she bought from someone else who sourced it for her, and she really doesn't DO anything, design anything, or create anything, except slap her name on someone else's actual physical work and claim it as her own and charge an exhorbitant price for something that would otherwise cost like $100 at most? Give me a break.

HAH, a recent tweet by her:
Kimberly McDonald ‏@KMD_Jewelry
Talent is God given; be humble. Fame is man given; be grateful. Conceit is self given; be careful. ~John Wooden.

Sounds like she needs to pay attention to that last part.
