Good to know existing watch owner of one still like the other. As many said both are gorgeous in a different way.

Let's put this way. At the minute, I'm a stay at home mum in a very hot country. I think my 24 looks as good with my jeans as with my evening dresses, because is such an understated watch at the same time chic. It's like wearing diamond studs - goes with everything. I must say that I feel the same way about the tank (which I wear even at the gym). In one of the threads here there are some modeling pictures with the white and the black face - I think that changes a lot the 'wearability' of watch. Do you have a preference in terms of face?

Tank is a classic and the Ballon Bleu is a new style design. Depends on you: do you buy clothes that are classic, or do you buy clothes that are trendy? If trendy is what you are, I would go with the Ballon Bleu.

Or to put it in another way, do you plan to keep this watch for a long time or do you like to buy new watches every couple of years? If you are the latter, then the Ballon Bleu is a good choice. :smile1:

If you can't decide, try them both. Usually one will scream out to you and you just have the urge to buy it. If not, then just wait for the next Cartier design.

Hi girassol, very helpful. On the face, for PP i was initially eyeing the gray one, In the end, I decided on tank and will place my order next week. Thanks so much for the inputs!

Hi eye candy, indeed I tried them both and decided to go with the classic! Although I normally prefer "newer" stuff, however the tank just looked better on me. Also, most of my watches are round faced so nice to have a variety. Thanks for the inputs!

^Great choice! My mom owns a tank with diamonds on the side like the Patek mentioned in this thread. Everyone compliments her on it. She wears hers everyday with jeans, gowns, etc. It is a very pretty watch. My dad bought it for her which made me think, "where's mine, Dad??" :p

Twinstar, you made a great choice. I'm wearing my tank today so I'm looking at it - I never heard of anyone regreting buying a Cartier tank. Don't forget to post a pic to share with us :-)
