I got my medium with the date about a year ago and I bought it new. It works fine - manual winding. I think a Quartz would be just fine too. I prefer the gold and silver watch on you, but both look great!

I can't find a new medium with the date. I spoke to a SA and she said usually if women want the date function they usually buy the large men's watch. But thanks for your help.

How is your search going?
I have been teetering between midsize and small all SS... And I told myself I wouldn't get one with a date for fear of extra stuff = more chance of stuff going wrong with a watch I couldn't afford to upkeep at Cartier. But it's good to hear people on here aren't having an issue with it.

I ended up finding a great condition midsize SS on the bay with date (3oclock) under my budget and its on its way now. I really like the date for functionality and I know I miss it when it's not on my other watches so I think it was a good choice after all but I'm still a little worried.

which seller did you find it from? Would love to know...

A one-off seller. She isn't a major reseller of watches or anything else on the bay. I haven't proven its authenticity yet so I am keeping my hopes down.

Outside looks legit but I have to open up the watch to know for sure.

If you still want to know, I can PM you the listing so you can check it out.

I'm stuck between the large and the medium siZe in the two tone.i really want the date function so I may have to get the large size. It's a little big on me but i guess that's okay. I found a seller based on someone's recommendation. But there listings staed that the watch is Quartz but it's really the automatic.

Good job on finding one in your budget. Enjoy your watch.
Hopefully it should be fine.

Is the large quartz and automatic the same size? If it's the same size as the large your pictures, I personally preferred the large on you, for what's it's worth.
From the picture it does't look too big on your wrist, IMO.

But don't settle on a movement you don't really want (assuming you want a Quartz instead). I personally don't want an automatic for fear of extra upkeep with Cartier. I trust Rolex over Cartier when taking about automatic movements anyway.

Thanks for the advice.
The Large size is the automatic. The quartz is in the medium size. According to the Cartier SA that I spoke to last week they stopped making the Large size in the quartz in the two tone about eight years ago. But the large one that I found is the automatic version.

I have my automatic TF for 15 years, just checked once in the beginning but always spot on time. I would never take a battery operated watch anymore because I love the idea of self-sustaining mechanisms. A battery is not necessary so why ?
