Cartier return?

When I bought my first LB, Cartier had sizing bracelets much like ring sizers. They were hinged and snapped open and closed so size could easily be determined before purchasing the actual bracelet.

Joja- thank you for your reply. My husband took the bracelet off on Tuesday. I had an appointment to see my SA on Saturday to pick up my cleaning set and extra travel pouch she had set aside for me. When I got there I told her how the bracelet felt tight after my walk and it felt uncomfortable. She didn't even bother looking at the bracelet and without any hesitation brought out the bigger size and we agreed it was a better fit. I am so glad I got the bigger size and I'm truly enjoying it now.

Btw I showed her the protective sleeve my son made from the bracelet and she thought it was so cute. Then she told me Cartier actually has a wrist band for the bracelet and gave me one. Love the service.

YAY ~ I'm so happy it worked out for you! I had sizing issues when I first purchased so I totally understand how you felt. It's such a big purchase and it should be 100% perfect! I mean, it's something we are committing to wear 24/7 so when it's not perfect it can drive you crazy.
Enjoy your new love!!

I understand no one will want "new" bracelet is actually from someone's return. But you should be 100% satisfied with your purchase. I'm glad your SA did the right thing. If it has scratches and can't be sold to the next customer, Cartier definitely have thought about that and have a better solution.

I agree Alena21. A client is fitted in the boutique; if he or she is unsure of comfort or size give it serious thought before making the purchase. It's not as though Cartier boutiques don't have sufficient stock. If the size a client needs is unavailable the SA will find it elsewhere and request a transfer.
It really irks me that Cartier would accept a return knowing that the piece had been worn.

I don't think the OP asked for judgment. Nor did she ask what anyone thought of Cartier's return policy.
I hope that anyone that has a real issue with possibly buying a return item doesn't shop anywhere that accepts returns (basically everywhere). To keep yourself sane and happy I would highly suggest only buying one of a kind items (clothes, jewelry, etc).

In a lot of countries Cartier won't accept returns if the item has been worn. The way it should be so pple know they are getting brand new item.
I was in Cartier Singapore yesterday and here they don't do it too.

She started a thread about returning a bracelet that costs $6k that she worn even wore for a walk sweating wearing you open your self to comments when you post such things. I just got a new love about 2 weeks ago and mine had the plastic all over it. I'm with the others I don't want someone else's worn scratched return. It's just rude and I doubt she would want a worn love either. Hopefully Cartier won't resell it.

I'll reiterate what I said ~ if you are THAT bothered by possibly purchasing a return item then I would hope for your own happiness and sanity you only purchase from merchants who do not accept returns no matter what.
I COMPLETELY understand wanting a brand new item (whatever the item is) especially when you are paying top dollar but unfortunately it just doesn't always happen that way. Shaming someone for returning or exchanging an item isn't very nice and unless you were in that exact position it's hard to say what you would do.
I feel like many times on the internet people say things they would NEVER say to ones face.
As the old saying goes ~ if you have nothing nice to say....SAY NOTHING. The world would be a much nicer place if people lived by that!! JMO of course.

Starting a thread in a public forum is going to solicit opinions or judgement whether one likes it or not. Moreover, OP did ask/wonder whether Cartier would allow her to exchange and what others' experience were.
Many retail companies allow exchange but I am sure they do not expect nor encourage customers to wear the items for a week before returning it with scratches. Love bracelets are high ticket items and I have never heard sought-after Love bracelet in any of Cartier Staff/Sample sale...which means good luck to the next shopper!
I totally get it that one needs to be happy with their purchase especially at this price point but it shouldn't be done at others' expense. I enjoy reading this shopping forum to celebrate and live vicariously through others' wonderful purchases but would also like to do my bit to advocate classy shopping behavior. In any case, OP has successfully exchanged her bracelet to a bigger size...all's well than ends well in her case till we read a new thread in the future "Help, just bought a returned Love bracelet"

I agree with you that asking about something on the internet opens you up to various opinions.
I don't really see how her return or any return for that matter is at the expense of anyone else. If the company (Cartier in the case) accepts returns it's on them.
