Hi ladies, I'm extremely fickle-minded and need some advice please! First big luxury purchases have been on my mind this year. I had been planning to buy the Love bracelet at the end of the year for a milestone but I also got my hands on a small coco handle last week after visiting numerous boutiques; this was a spontaneous purchase that just happened on a post-quarantine trip. I justified it by saying it's to commemorate my first trip after so long!
When it comes to Chanel, my dream bag is the mini rectangle in caviar but it doesn't come in caviar anymore. I don't want to go the secondhand route, so the coco handle is the next best thing since it's caviar and looks the most similar; however, the fit is a bit awkward as it's not meant to be used as a crossbody (my favorite way to carry bags). It looks bulky when used as crossbody and the strap is too short. Even if the strap were longer, that doesn't fix the bulky part. When worn on the shoulder as it was intended to or when carried handheld, I do think it looks really cute and the bag is very cute overall. Although I don't love the bag 100%, I do like it a lot. I'm hesitant to return it because part of me is like, what if there's a price increase and I regret not keeping it and also I don't want a return on my record for my only purchase!
At first I was thinking I could keep the coco handle and buy another bag in the future but after lots of thinking, I decided that I want this to be my daily bag for years to come and don't want anymore bags... until I see something that absolutely speaks to me down the line.
Other options are to replace it with the Celine belt bag (but it's also bulky and odd as crossbody)which I've always loved (half the price), or wait for the mini rectangle to come back, if ever.
Now that the Cartier price increase has been confirmed, I'm wondering if I should return the coco handle and get the Cartier? The only drawback is that it would no longer be purchased during the milestone time that I wanted it for (less meaning). Or should I keep Chanel and also buy Cartier? It's a LOT of purchases in one month and I can't help but feel guilty; I already feel guilty over the bag. I can afford it, I'm just not used to luxury purchases and everything in me is saying the money should go towards saving for a house.
As for the Cartier pieces, I can't decide between the classic plain Love (pictured is diamond but I prefer plain) or the small JUC. Initially, I wanted the Love since it's more classic but after trying on the JUC, so many people have said that it looks better on my wrist. I keep hearing that the Love is super hyped right now and I think the JUC is also slightly more unique than the Love since less people have it.
Sorry for the long post, this is basically what I'm asking:
1) Should I keep the Coco Handle?
2) Should I get the Cartier now or wait for the milestone so that it has meaning?
3) Love or JUC?
