Hi all,

I wasn’t sure where to post this but I went back to Cartier to pick up my bangle replacement and tried on the panthere ring again. But then after, I went to vca. I haven’t bought anything from vca in over 10 years, but I wanted to try on the zodiac pendant. I will definitely get the zodiac pendant, but the sales associate had me try on the full pave small frivole pendant. It was just stunning. So now I am torn. I am only doing one more big piece this year. What would you pick? I put the ring on my index bc that was the only size they had. TY

I think I'm the only one voting for the Cartier ring so far. Are people not looking at the pictures? Are they voting on some VCA v Cartier thing like it's a football match, coz those photos scream pick the Panthere, you look fabulous.

Love the Zodiaque you'll be getting. As VCA the Frivole is OK, it's nice, it looks nice, it's not a 'wow' for me. It's a pendant necklace and it's pretty.

Whereas, that ring is drop-dead gorgeous, unmistakeable and an earth-shatteringly special piece, and you have the (beautiful) fingers for it too.

The Panthere ring is stunning; you'd see it every time you look down at your hand, every time the light catches the diamonds and it sparkles and twinkles. That will surely lift your heart!

The Frivole pendant necklace is very lovely, but as you're purchasing the Zodiac necklace, perhaps the Frivole can be next after the ring?

You need to choose the piece which you would feel sad about leaving behind.

Panthere ring hands down. But I'm biased because I tend to go for rings over necklaces and I'm more of a Cartier girl.
I'm also not to into particularly floral or feminine designs. To me the frivole line is pretty floral line, but that's just it to me. A flower. It's the kind of collection I would not buy for myself but is a safe gift to buy for others.

They are both pretty different designs and aesthetics. You'll have to go with what makes your heart sing!

Of note, if you've never owned a full pave ring, you may find it to be relatively uncomfortable compared to others. (It may be a matter of personal comfort or just getting used to wearing full pave).
Also, you won't be able to wear any rings on other fingers next to the one with the Panthere on. (Though that's probably the point since the full pave Panthere ring is quite a statement on its own.)

My only issue with the Cartier is that the pave almost takes away from the panthere design compared to their gold one. It would be better suited to wear the ring with pave or tennis bracelets or alike that are WG. But thats just my personal opinion since I don’t prefer mixing metals. I think the frivole is more versatile but ofcourse that depends on your outfits and occasions. I sometimes wear mine just to elevate a casual outfit (sweater and jeans) and it fits well with my love and tennis bracelet stack.

Hey, I see you’ve been posting a lot of requests for people to help you make decisions (frivole, guilloche, zodiac, panther, sell or keep Love, Tiffany fleur de lis). Maybe just take a few weeks off from thinking about jewelry, and then when you’ve had a break maybe your own preferences will become more clear.

If these purchases are things you have to think about/budget for, they shouldn’t be made under time pressure, and your own opinions matter more than anyone else’s. If you buy what the internet tells you because you want to make a purchase right now, you might be setting yourself up for some expensive regrets.

But I’m someone who has a budget that only allows me to buy a couple of luxury branded jewelry pieces per year. If this shopping is something you can afford to do all the time, please ignore me!

Hi,
To offer some clarity, I’ve been out of the luxury jewelry game for a while. I’ve realized over the years that I made some mistakes with jewelry and am trying to be thorough with selecting my next piece. Since I’ve been out of the game, I’m learning about the current releases and catching up since I’ve been dormant for years. I don’t like buying and selling, and I have decided to revamp my daily pieces for personal reasons.

Everyone has their own process, analyzing different options is my way. Besides the vca, the other pieces you mentioned I’ve had on my list for the last few years but never pulled the trigger. I don’t feel a rush in purchasing, but I do like having a plan and knowing exactly what I’m hoping to get next. Just how I am.

Oh wow I did not know this. I don’t have any other pave pieces. Thanks for letting me know!
