Cartier ordered!!!!

Well I ordered the midsize Cartier Tank Francaise and am awaiting its arrival.

I hope I have no buyers remorse after getting it being that I have never tried one on -- don't live anywhere near an AD. I wanted a very wearable, classic watch and have always liked the way the Tanks look on and in pictures, etc.

I started really liking the Roadster more AFTER placing the order (although I have never seen one IRL) so am a little nervous, but can honestly say that I really don't like the way the Roadster looks once it's all scratched up. So I hope I love the Tank!! The concern of scratching easily and the wearability options of the Tank made my decision. I hope it's the right one!!! I also can't envision the Roadster with a really nice dress at a wedding or fancy dinner. I will try and post it when I get it.

Congrats!!! I love the tank and think it's just perfect, I was also swooning over the Bb and roadster... But then ran into the same "can I dress it up?" situation. I hope you love and enjoy your tank! It's a classic day to night watch.

I think the tanks are the best looking Cartier watches!!! Great choice!

I had both but ended up eventually selling my Roadster. I absolutely loved the 'edge' of the Roadster but not so much that when you 'looked' at it, scratches seemed to appear. I adore my Tank F. and it is a true classic. I have not had any problems with scratching, etc. I think you will be very happy with your decision.

I always wanted a Tank Francaise and DH finally got me one for Valentine's Day. I love, love, LOVE it. I've worn it practically every day since. Congrats on your purchase. It's a classic and I'm sure you'll love it forever!

I adore my Tank and it's almost 8 years old. It still looks great! Such a fabulous, classic watch.

Congrats I hope you love as much as I do... As far as scratches are concerned - tank is pretty safe - It has been my everyday watch for the past 6 years and still looks fab.

congrats on ordering the tank! i have the small size and absolutely love mine! i considered the roadster too, but went with the tank since it seemed to have a more classic look. i can always get the roadster later you will enjoy your tank for years!

the roadster i tried on had a shiny SS bracelet whereas the tank has more of that brushed SS bracelet, so it doesn't show scratches as easily. that was another reason i went for the tank.

Oh, that makes sense. THe BB has both, so I guess it's somewhere in between in terms of scratches.
