Hi! Last summer I received my first piece of Cartier jewelry, a classic Trinity ring to celebrate some special milestones. I thought it would be nice to share our special stories. Here is mine:

My best friend from college gave it to me my ring as a birthday gift. Neither of us have a sister and both of our mothers recently died, so we are like sisters. I chose the three ring piece to celebrate my three children, my three decades of marriage and my three decades of sobriety. When I look at it, I think of all of these wonderful things and of course, my dear friend.

What milestone did your Cartier piece mark?

That's so lovely and that's as it should be.

My lucky numbers are 3, 6, 9 (and 33) so I always wear 3 Trinity at once.

One of my Trinity rings is the same as my mother always wore (LM) sadly she passed 2018. Whatever else I wear it seems that that's the ring people notice most. She had other jewellery, but that's the one she wore.

What a wonderful idea for a thread. I have 2 Cartier pieces commemorating milestones. The first is a small Tank Francaise. My parents saved up and surprised me with it for my graduation from university back in 2001. They are immigrants and I was first in my family to go to university. My mom passed a year later from cancer. I will treasure it always. 183F5509-98A7-4FBF-A1AD-2DF07891F1FB.jpeg

Second was a gift from me to me last month, a large D’Amour necklace, for successfully completing a huge project at work that I stressed about for 2 years.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s pieces!

My Trinity ring was bought for my first Mother’s Day, as a symbol of always being entwined as a family. My Love bracelet symbolises my first year as a mother and everything we went through to get here (IVF and uncertainty around my sons health as well as just the general life changing experience of parenthood).

When I went to buy the bracelet l, the SA told me his two Loves represented his mum and dad, which I just love too.

@LHLarsen Sorry for your loss and a meaningful thread to start.

I’ve been gifted jewelry and generally I’m not a very attached person to jewelry (or most things in general :p ). I celebrate life as it is and do not really wait for special events to mark them. But I’d say the milestone would be my Cartier Love bracelet that I bought for myself not too long ago, which kinda started my fine jewelry buys.

When I bought my trinity ring, it was after my husband passed away (a year and a half ago), so I purchased it to represent our family - my husband, myself and our daughter. My husband used to always say that we were "a little family." That really resonated with me, especially after he passed, so I thought the trinity ring would accurately represent that. I'm giving my daughter my trinity cord bracelet for the same meaning for her.

I've been buying Cartier for almost 20 years now and started with small items when I first began work. Most items in my collection I bought for myself except the following items to mark certain milestones
Panthere watch two tone
Gift at 21 from my parents
Trinity ring classic
Gift from DH when DS was born, each ring has one of our names engraved on the inside and the three represent our family. Worn in place of E- ring and wedding band set to avoid scratching him as a baby.
Juste un Clou bracelet first release WG
Anniversary gift from DH which he purchased on work trip to Geneva
Bespoke Pink Quartz Ruby YG brooch
Purchased at auction by my Mom and later gifted to me
Diamond Platinum Eternity ring
Added to my E ring + wedding band set for a wedding anniversary
Trinity ring pinky size
Gift from DH to mark DS' 16th Birthday and Valentine's Day
Panthere Massai bangle
Anniversary gift from DH to match the ring I already own
All precious sentimental pieces which I treasure and hope to add to in the future. I really love reading all the posts here too, thanks for sharing.
