Hi ladies, Me and DH recently got a Cartier eternity ring (1.5 ct tw) right before the price increase. Since we got to the store late, and the only one they have is a size 5. My engagement ring from cartier is a 5.5 and I'm perfectly fine with it. The 5 is little tight on right hand but ok on my left ring finger.

My concern is, for the price which is over $10K, should I keep it and bear the risk that it might not fit anymore? I asked and was told eternity ring cannot be resized.

Or, should I return it and get store credit to purchase other stuff? I know they will not give a refund.

I was looking online, for same quality diamond eternity band only cost about half the price. Do you think it is worthy?

Please let me know your thought!! Much appreciated. I will attach pictures later.. Thank you all!

It's a beautiful ring. Is it possible to exchange it for the correct size? And still.. since you are in doubt you will probably always have the feeling that you paid 'too much'. Would it be nice to exchange for a Love bracelet AND buy a non branded eternity like you have seen on the web?

I think it's ridiculous they don't do returns. But I would return and get one elsewhere, unless you absolutely LOVE it, in which case get it in your size.

Can't you exchange it for the correct size?

I would love to. If I could, I would probably keep it. But since I got this right before the price increase (and there was nothing they could do to get me a 5.5 the other day), if I change for another size, they will charge me the new price which is over $1700 more.

The problem was that size 5 and size 5.5 have different prices.

I agree that their eternity rings are really expensive....especially if it's tight on your finger. You should ask for the correct size if that's really the ring you want or try to get store credit and spend it on something you like more.

I cannot change for another size without paying over $1700+ :( I'm thinking the same thing, get store credit and buy something else...

Unfortunately I cannot get another size :'( it is not summer yet and it starts to leave marks already. I'm very concerned that if in the future I get bigger, then there's no way that I can wear it anymore..

Thank you for your advice. The ring is not very very tight on my left finger, and I'm always thinking to lose some more weight so my fingers will get smaller too. In the meantime, I think with 10K I can get something else from Cartier that is more unique..
