Says who? I wasn't quoted 1 or 2 weeks. It was promised in 4 weeks and delivered within that time frame. My DH has been quoted similar time frames (and even longer) to have his Rolex serviced. As I mentioned before, even polishing a tiny, Tiffany key necklace took 4 weeks - so it really came as no surprise that my watch took the same amount of time. I was actually expecting it to be longer since it was a complete service.
I can't speak to the service claims (the claims that perhaps Cartier provides more service than necessary), but I think that when it comes to turnaround times, people have unrealistic expectations. 4 weeks is normal and standard in my experiences. If others have been promised a week or two, and have received their watches within that time frame, great! I, however, have no problem being quoted 4 weeks and getting my watch back within that time as promised.
