I’ve actually been wearing less of my Rolex over the years, because I find it too blingy at work (hospital). Now ever since the pandemic, I’ve actually stopped wearing watches/jewelry in fear of bringing Covid home lol. I was speaking with my friend the other day, she said to me that the Cartier BB would be even more eye catching and is more of a jewelry watch. She said I probably wouldn’t wear it much either given that I’m so dressed down these days (scrubs). So I guess her point was that as much as I may think the BB would be more practical, it probably wouldn’t be…?
I agree with this entirely! I wear my Bulgari serpenti tubogas every day, and I agree with the post above that the Serpenti might be more casual worn with other things. I love the serpenti line, and I wouldhave gotten your bracelet except DH, SA and I all thought the last tubogas was a better look on my wrist. I also have to say, the serpenti line is magical IRL. Pics somehow do not do the serpenti justice.
I also love Cartier watches, but decided against both the gold BB and pasha Bc they were too blingy when I tried them on: it felt like they were wearing me. And, that’s odd bc I wear big things. Here is a pic of my everyday stuff plus what it looks like full length with my shorts, a skirt and a tshirt. I’m 5’2, medium build, not petite.
I would strongly recommend that when you compare the watch and the bracelet, you take a full length pic with your normal clothes, bag, whatever other everyday items, or even your scrubs, to figure out what feels most like you. It varies widely among individuals. some TPFers have told me that my jewelry seems enormous when seen just in a hand pic close up, but not when seen in the entirety of what I wear, and this may be the case with you too
