Caro small in gray or cloud blue?

Hi everybody,

Please help me with figuring out what color i should get in the Caro bag in small. I have tried googling pictures of the grey and the cloud blue one, but i think that it is very hard to see what they really look like with the different lighting people have.

I lean towards the gray one as i think it would be a more neutral color.. but cloud blue sounds stunning too.
I do see sometimes the gray can look a little bit dark in some pictures and the cloud blue waaay too blue i am so confused.

What do you guys think?

Aww! Tough choice! I think gray seems to be more neutral if you want to wear it all the time. But I love both colors!

Thats what i thought too. But its really difficult to compare them with pictures , as they seem to look very different in different lightning

Hi! I have the medium caro in grey (not the steel grey), and I love it, because it really is a nice neutral. I haven’t seen the cloud blue, and while I’m sure it’s gorgeous, I personally would opt for the grey, for its versatility.
I’m attaching a pic of my caro, I know how hard it is to get a good gauge for how light/dark something is based on photos… Happy to help if you have any other questions!

ETA - I will say that it does have a slight light blue undertone to it, so that might give you the best of both worlds!

As you can see even Diors website shows the Gray in different lighting, and that why it makes me so confused.

Thank you! The hardware on my bag is actually ruthenium (not seeing it available online anymore), and yes, the color code is the same as the ones you posted (M41G)! It really is so difficult to go by the pictures online, and quite frankly, I don’t think the Dior website does a great job of adequately depicting the colors. When I first showed my sister my bag on the website, she disliked it, but after seeing it in person, it was

I wish i could see it in person, before deciding, but we dont have any stores here in Denmark So i just need to make up my mind and pull the trigger and buy it

Ugh, that definitely makes it more difficult when you can’t see the bag in person before purchasing - I would be wavering as well… So I do baby my caro a bit, but I’m also the person that owns mainly black bags, and the caro is by far the lightest color in my collection. That being said, I live in jeans and dark colors, and have not had any issues with color transfer, which was my main concern when getting the bag.

What is the predominant color in your wardrobe? What about your other purses? You mentioned in your first post that you’re worried the grey could be a bit too dark, and if that’s your main hesitation, I can assure you that it’s definitely a lighter shade of grey!

I totally understand what you mean - that‘s why the majority of my bags are black too, because black goes with (almost) everything! I think given your wardrobe, the grey would go perfectly, and it’ll be nice to have a lighter colored bag in your collection. It’s a great bag, in a beautiful color, I think you’ll be happy with it!

Yes, i thought that if i should have a ligther colored bag, it might as well be a grey Dior, as i personally think Dior tend to create really beautiful light colored bags

Hi Again, i just wanted to update you. I just got the bag in gray..but the tag says “grey stone” I am a little bit confused. Do you happen to have your tag still?

I do believe I still have the tag, but I’m actually overseas at the moment - will def check when I’m home, though. I have a copy of the receipt, and the color is listed as M41G.

Just from the little bit of your bag that is visible, it does look similar… Are you unhappy with the color you received? Can you post a picture of your bag?

No I am actually not unhappy ! I was really happy, but when i saw the tag it made me confused. It does says M41G .. i am just confused about the 41GU. But i can see that my lady dior in black says 900U and under it says 900 noir. I really should not worry about these tags but its just me wanting to know everything.

Buuut i just saw that the hardware is a little bit cloudy/micro scratch.. and there is this dent on the side. Is that normal? What do you think?
