FYI - Tasha K isn't the only youtuber that has been sued for defamation. That lawsuit ended up being settled out of court. It was a lady by the name of Tati Westbrook and her husband James Westbrook sued WOACB a youtuber for the things that she said about Tati and James. But James had a stronger case against WOACB than Tati. WOACB claimed that James Westbrook had removed his mother off of lifesupport, which wasn't true. Tati Westbrook is a youtuber also too. It's a really long story and Tati is now suing her former business partner and now WOACB is now a witness in her case against the former business partner. WOACB basically said that it was the former business partner was her source and so to end the lawsuit against her, she gave up her source, Tati's former business partner.

yep I remember hearing about this too and it didn't even get a lot of attention if I remembered correctly, at least not as much as attention as I thought that it should have gotten. IMO.

i don't see what is so hard to understand - this woman even admitted during the trial that SHE KNEW that some of it was not true but wanted to "entertain and increase traffic" to her site. that is all she cared about! if i had tried to get someone to stop posting lies and they were like "nope you can't stop me!" i would sue them as well. and as far as cardi admitting what she had done in her past - that is her business to tell. for someone to totally make up other stuff - that she had herpes for instance - is not the same.

Interesting, thank you. I can’t stand any of the big make up youtubers because they all seem so spiteful so I hadn’t heard any of this.

I know, it just seems like that amount of money will probably ruin Tasha financially whereas it’s not that big an amount to cardi. Just seems like overkill, oh well that’s the legal system I guess, and maybe she can get out of it without paying it all, I don’t know.

You're welcome. I don't think that Tati Westbrook is happy imo. But yes all of the big make up youtubers so seem really mean to each other.

oh wow I didn't know that Tasha K had said that she KNEW that some of it wasn't true and still talked about it on her youtube channel like it was all true. SMH. that's so messed up. I agree about suing someone if you give them a cease and deist and if they don't honor it then go ahead and sue them.

See Tati and James Westbrook had given WOACB aka Katie Joy 4 cease and deist over a 18 month period and then they decided to sue her in Washington state and the judge in Washington State kicked the case out and said that it was the jurisdiction but they could refile in the state MN, which is where WOACB lived. So in MN state all civil lawsuit have to go through mediation first, so that is when the case was settled.

i can't believe she admitted it - in court!!! :shocked: you deserve whatever you get for that kind of foolishness.
