Eventually chose the Saint Marc in the grey canvas and am going to order it for my upcoming trip in February. I am still not sure about the color, but she said that I could always switch colors during my visit to the store. :smile1:

Why grey? Grey shade to me is the most neutral amongst all the goyardine shades and perhaps becos it only has two tones of colour, it never appeal to me. Just my preference. I got a green Tuileries wallet recently and I really love it! Seeing it at my working desk while slaving in office lifted me up!

I fell in love with the grey print, maybe because it only has the two tones of color. My style is mostly black, navy and grey, so to me the grey one would be a perfect color choice.
I love the other colours as well, so I will for sure check those out as well. :smile1:

And now my eye spotted the Saint Pierre, maybe it's better than the Saint Marc? It fits more cards and has a back slit pocket, price difference is around €65, so not too bad?!

Agree with you that all the goyardine colors are gorgeous...except orange which is never my colour. I saw someone carrying the light blue senat yesterday. I spotted it from afar! so soft colour and yet so captivating.

I have not seen a Saint Pierre before. What is the size of Saint Pierre when folded? Same as Saint Marc? I googled and it seems to be able to hold 8 cards!

I am not a big orange fan either, but it's the colour of my country, so I should at least buy one orange Goyard piece in my life. The light blue is really beautiful, I definitely want that one in the future as well.

They are both around the same size, but the Saint Pierre has a back slit pocket, which is lined with yellow and I'm not a big yellow fan. So I eventually chose the Saint Marc in grey. :smile1:

I apologize for how late I am doing this, but the page from the Barney's holiday catalog is below (page 53).

I'm going to add these prices to the thread about current US/UK prices, but I figured I would leave it here too to make it easier on everyone.

From top: Senat Medium Zip Pouch in light blue $1280; Long Bifold Wallet in white $1335; Business Card Holder in yellow $625; Senat Small Zip Pouch in yellow $855; Senat Mini Zip Pouch in orange $640; Small Card Case in gray $425. (All product descriptions and prices via Barneys Holiday 2015 catalog page 53).
Thank you so much for posting the picture that was in the catalog and the prices! I noticed your comment about the Barney's catalog in another thread and was hoping I would be able to find this catalog page.

Hello Everyone!

I've been using my Saint Sulpice Card Holder for a little under a year now, and have always kept 2 cards in each card slot. I recently slimmed down my wallet, removing unnecessary cards and ended up now with having 1 card in each slot. The problem with this is that the slots in the wallet have become over-stretched from having so many cards. With only 1 card per slot now, thye don't stay in place and fall out constantly.

I was thinking of putting the card holder in lukewarm water fr 10 mins and then let it air dry to shrink the leather a bit. Do you think its a good idea?

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread but I'm new and apparently not allowed to start a new one.

I do not have experience with shrinking leather. If you do try it, please report back the results.

I would just put two cards in one slot and leave the other empty.

I Love the grey!!! Thats my colour choice for my next Godard purchase

The 2 year old one that looks terrible is used as his daily wallet. He doesn't carry bags so it slides in and out of his denim pockets and is used every day. Basically he is not particularly careful with it and uses it heavily. I think if you put it on rotation with another wallet/card holder you'll preserve its appearance.
TBH I am scared of all my Goyard pieces wearing off with the paint but so far, so good. I have worn my Ambassade to death and the only wear is on the handles. My Voltaire on the other hand looks a bit rough on the side panel of the Goyardine the fabric actually has worn through to nearly a very small hole. IDK what happened but I will continue to wear it I guess

I got my St. Sulpice in black/tan almost a year ago. I rotate it among my other wallets so I've probably used it about 40 times. The paint is coming off in a few spots. I am really careful with my things. I've emailed Paris to see what they might do. I don't have high hopes. But I am disappointed with how it has worn. The paint chips are minor. But given how little I use the wallet and how careful I am (in dust bag when not in use), it's a bummer.

I don't see the image on my last post. Trying again...image2.JPGimage2.JPG

I was considering the Faure Le Page Porte Carte cardholder, but now I'm looking at the Goyard St. Sulpice cardholder. I'm attracted to the exclusivity and cult following of the Goyard brand.

I called both Barney's and Bergdorf Goodman in NYC and inquired about the original classic black/tan and classic black St. Sulpice cardcases (that what they refer to the colors as). $330 each and free ground shipping. Sales tax would apply since there is either a store or shipping facility in PA. There is also a Goyard Boutique in NYC. No sales tax since there is no boutique PA, but they charge $25 for ground shipping.

Which color is more popular and exclusive, original classic black/tan or classic black? Advantages/disadvantages ordering from Barney's or Bergdorf Goodman vs. the Boutique besides saving on sales tax or shipping? Thanks in advance.

Can you provide us with an update? Did Paris Goyard get back to you? How is it breaking in to date? Please post some new pics. Per my post above, I'm thinking about getting either the black/black or black/tan; leaning towards the black/tan because it has a more casual look and feel to it.

It arrived!!!

It's a piece of art. I'm afraid to use it, LOL! I feel this way mostly because I never spent this much for a card holder. I'm already thinking about exchanging or getting another one, perhaps the grey one, but not sure if I want to plunk down the extra $95 for the special colors. Black/black and black/tan are $330 and the special colors are $425. I think they grey looks the nicest out of all the colors. Classy and neutral.
