Capucines Wear & Tear Especially the Rings Splaying Out

Hi,

So I have an older Capucines with the strap attached internally and my problem is a little bit different. I always like to keep my shoulder straps readily available without any fiddling, leaving them more or less permanently attached and just left hanging from the bag. In most cases this works really well, but that, too, is a little bit awkward with the Capucines. Due to the snap hooks, the strap doesn’t hang naturally when I’m carrying the bag in the crook of my arm, and I am worried the hooks will mess the edges up if I keep doing it for much longer. Any ideas?

I don’t have any solutions sorry - except taking the strap off permanently, which we shouldn’t have to do with bags that cost that much.

Popping in to say that I’ve even seen the Mini with the collapsed handle.

Personally, I do own a Mini and BB, but I do not carry them as often and afraid of using as top handle due to the same where & tear concerns. The mini Crossbody is obviously cute, but having the BB Crossbody can look weird.
But I will say, I’ve personally been keeping an eye out for the resin/kintsugi models because with such a rigid handle, there’s no way for the rings to splay. At least that’s my observation based on construction. Despite that concern, they are lovely, beautiful, well constructed bags.
