Canvas Pochette Metis vs. Boulogne (or best grab and go)

Hi, I am looking for a grab and go cross body Mom bag that I can wear with really casual clothes to and from school drop offs, grocery store, etc. that I don't have to worry about in the rain or when handling rowdy kids. I already have a monogram Speedy and Souflott MM but am looking for something smaller and hands free that will hold sunglasses, wallet, keys, maybe a snack or two. I'm currently debating between the Pochette Metis (undecided on monogram vs. reverse mono) or the newer Boulogne with black trim. I like that the Boulogne has more options to wear and I'm loving the black, but wasn't sure if it was going to be too trendy, while the PM is tried and true...although it seems to be everywhere now. Thoughts!?

I'm also open to other ideas even from other labels!

I love my PM mono, it fits as all of my daily essentials, it's slim but roomy. I think the PM is great to be worn casually or even while running errands. The only minor thing is if you don't have it 'full' the snap closure can be a little annoying to try and close. But because I put my reusable bag and wallet in the front slip pocket, it makes it super easy to open/close.

For grab & go i'd go for Boulogne.

For versatility id go for Bolougne. I prefer bags with zipper than flaps esp with the pochette metis that is prone to cracking. i dont want to worry about it in the long run.

I only say boulogne because it’s a newer design and PM has been around for awhile. With that said, I am a lazy person and that flap gets bothersome if I have to get in and out of the purse constantly. If I know I have to get at stuff in the bag I usually reach for my speedyb 25 which has the zipper top. Plus side of PM is that it has three compartments so it does keep you more organized than having just a pit in a purse.

Thanks! I actually don’t mind the pit, lol. I’m leaning towards the Boulogne because I’m thinking it could hold a water bottle at the bottom, whereas the compartments on the PM could potentially restrict the sizes some items I need to carry.

Me too, I use my speedyb more than my
PM. But I am not being completely fair. Due to the pandemic, I have been using smaller purses. They are both great bags, you can’t go wrong either way. Please show modeling pics and reveal when you get it.❤️❤️❤️

for grab and go nothing beats Pochette Accessories (including mini version), lightest, cheapest, large enough to carry phone keys $$$$, and still stylish shall we say haha

I have both and use my metis far more. I definitely have to downsize when I use the boulogne. I like both but would reach for my metis every time. Depending on how much you carry, the boulogne can seem more like tetris getting your items in/out. Def not the case w/ the metis and it's more organized. I rarely ever wear my boulogne cross body, and never with the gold chain.
