I just wanted to update you all that comment on this thread. I ended up return the Etoupe Birkin because upon close inspection it had wear in the corner and handle that was not disclosed so I decided to return.
I am looking at a Gold/Gold Birkin 30, again. I think Gold is what my heart really wants but the fact that I have the Gold/PHW Picotin is giving me pause.
