maybe it depends on what the roxy is made of. I only own NVT but its meant to be more squishy than darwin so may be easier on the shoulder???
Oh dear I feel a right big heffa now after reading how many of you can get your roxys on your shoulders!! mine just doesnt stay and I get irritated trying to keep it up! and yes I agree carry the bag in crook of arm for any length of time.... ouch, ouch, ouch!
you arent on your own- Im amazed too- it feels like Im carrying a small shed to me!!! much as I love the look of roxy I use her more like a holdall hand held!!
I think it is the boxiness that actually helps it stay on the shoulder! It is the shape that makes it easier to keep It there than the thinner bayswater. Xx
I have just worked it out! Boxy roxy is carried totally behind my shoulder and arm so it is more heading towards my back iykwim. Bayswater, being bigger, is harder to carry totally behind the shoulder as it sticks out a fair way beyond where your body stops. So bays is more likely carried semi under your armpit - not as comfortable as a roxy totally behind the shoulder, IMHO. Phew, I'm glad that we've got the science bit clarified now, lol

Absolutely, IWANB! That's why I prefer Roxy to bays, I can carry Roxy up my back!!
Hi, have been thinking about a Roxy for a little while (I do seem to spend an awful lot of time thinking about bags) and was wondering if the roxy can be worn over your shoulder? I am not really a crook of the arm type girl and am curious as to how you wear yours......?

certainly you can wear a roxy on the shoulder. I am a UK size 12-14, and have no problems with it. Of course it depends a bit on the coat you are wearing, a normal wintercoat or a summercoat is no problem; I have an odd molly parka that is simply too fluffy.
I often wear the roxy messengerstyle too. I have a canvas strap that can be attached to the rings of the roxy. Have been thinking of asking the shoe repair shop to make me one that matches exactly, but this brown canvas strap works well too.

I'm a uk size 8 n carry my roxy on my shoulder tho it can be a bit squeeze with a heavy coat on and i dont like it getting squashed.
I find it can be a bit heavy to carry on the crook of your arm after a while, maybe i just need to build up my muscles.lol!
