Can this scratch be fixed?

Agree about this! I had snap buttons (worn out due to usage after more than three years) replaced and the repair was free.

You are so good at DIY!
Thanks :flowers: Also had a very good experience with Longchamp repairs when the zipper tape on my father-in-law's 1 and a half year old bag started to rip. They were friendly throughout, and it was free and finished in 3 weeks, despite it being the holiday season at the time.

@happy_hippo Sorry for the late input. This scratch can be fixed.

I can see in your first photo that the top coat of the leather has been scratched off in certain places, so the results from buffing and leather conditioner won't be permanent. You'll have to recolour the leather, but finding an exact match for the colour and finish without a professional is difficult. Some products that I've used in the past with good results are Saphir Juvacuir (the one that I prefer, easiest application), Saphir Creme Renovatrice (also great), and Tarrago Self Shine Colour Dye (watery and a pain to work with, but loads of colours). Less is more when using any of these products ;)

I agree with Frenzied, though, you should take it to Longchamp and see if they have any suggestions - especially if you're not a DIY person. They're generally quite helpful and repairs aren't too expensive. Sometimes they're even free.
I will bring it in to LC and see what they say. I have a feeling that it might be like $100 or so and if so, I will just get a new one and return this one.

Good luck, hope you’re able to get it fixed for less than that. Keep us updated.

For what it’s worth, like the other ladies have said, I find the scratch pretty unnoticeable. But I do understand that you’re bothered by it - that’s the sort of thing that I’d return an item for, too ;)

just a heads up that the ones at the outlet might have some minor defects or returned due to minor flaws etc. what If you travel all the way there and they’re in even worse condition? oh nooo…

I had called and took a picture of the same new bags (they had red and the camel color) and modeled it for me with various pictures. They can place it on hold, so I will do that again the weekend. These are new bags, it looks like a retail store, the whole setup, but it is an outlet. I am not sure why they get them but they do, not often.
