Can Someone Help Me Re Moissanite Please

Just to update everyone and thank them for their thoughts. I have actaully taken the plunge and ordered a moissanite ring in palladium. The only thing I'm worrying about now(there always has t b something!!) is whether I should have gone for the 7.5mm stone instead of the 6.5mm which I ordered. The on-line advisor did say because of the halo setting and my finger size being quite small I should have the smaller stone. Hope she's right! I chose the moissanite over the asha because I read on one forum that someone's asha had lost it's coating after a year and looked dull and cloudy so thought better not risk it. Have I done the right thing??? :sweatdrop:
congrats on taking the plunge!!! you'll have to let us know what you think of it when you get it.

My first moissanite ring arrived yesterday. I love it and I'm hooked. I'm now thinking I might get a wedding set though haven't told DH yet ,not sure what he'll say! The ring is really sparkley indoors and outside ,I can't really tell between it and my wedding set which are diamonds. I went for a ring in palladium which I am also impressed with. I would recommed moissanite although obviously time will tell re durability.

Oh I'm glad I checked back on this thread. I'm happy that you love your new moissanite! I'd love to see pictures of it on your finger. Is it the size you want? How did the halo turn out?

Unfortunately, I was not too happy with my moissy and in the process of sending it back to the seller from hell (they sent me wrong ring, cut, size and seller was hostile), I just gave up for now. The moissy I was sent must have been from one of Charles & Colvard's earlier batches or something, there was a very visible yellow/green hue to mine that looked unattractive. How unfortunate. I really wanted to share my ring with you too.

But glad to hear you got a nice gem! Congratulations!

Where did you get your ring from? I was quite impressed with where I got mine. I am in the UK and they knew U wanted it for a special occasion and it arrived exactly on time. They were also really helpful re size of stone and ring size.
Anyway have tried to get you some pics. They're not very good I'm afraid and also make my hand look really old. It's quite embarrassing really. :shame:

Congratulations! My goodness, that ring is stunning. It looks like a wonderfully designed estate piece. Your jeweler did a great job.

The circumstances were not the best with my transaction (maybe I wanted it too much??) but after seeing your beautiful ring, I have not given up on moissanite...

Unfortunately I'm in the process of a dispute with the seller on eBay (US), I returned the ring the same day and awaiting my refund. Here is the picture of the very poor quality moissanite. It looks green with the flash. Yucks. I would like to give moissanite a chance but with a different seller.

Enjoy your beautiful ring, lilackatz, so glad your transaction went so well for you!
