Ok ladies. Today I went to NM in SF to take a close look at the pourpre. I saw a city with RH, GSH and a work with RH.
Here is what I see. Please note that I occasionally attend print runs of packaging and advertising materials to approve colors, so I work with subtle color neuances all time.
To me this pourpre color looks as light pomegranate shell. In other words it is NOT red but a light burgandy with lots and lots of pink in it. In other words it is more pink than red. The color is very intense, cathes your eye right away and is absolutely stunning. not a fan of it with GSH though, but it is just my personal preference. While I was looking another lady came by and said: what a lovely red. I asked if she thinks it looks red, she said "why of course!". WELL - not sure how it helps you, but I guess you will see in this color what you want to see - if you really want to see red you probably will, but it is NOT. Hope I did not confuse the matters even more....
