I wanted resurrect this thread and say how underrated the brief style is, having recently purchased one with giant HW. It has a longer shoulder drop than my giant work and midday, a more flattering shape on my body than the work or PT, and is very comfortable to wear. I do not find the opening to be too small and have no problems taking my long wallet and bulky sunglasses case in and out. The opening is plenty wide for what I carry daily. I absolutely love the brief and feel it is a cleaner look than the day.

k am resurrecting this too! tried on both the brief and day again the other day. and do you find that the brief is a bit, er, i dunno puffier than the day? And less comfortable to carry over your shoulder? (or rather, how it feels under the armpits) Cos with the Day, you can barely feel that you're carrying a bag. Or is it much better unstuffed (the Brief I mean)?
The brief is wider on the sides than the day, more like an hourglass shape. I don't find it less comfortable on the shoulder; it just sits higher up under the arm than the day. I don't stuff my brief so find it to be very comfortable to carry for long periods of time. The day stays better on the shoulder for me. Sometimes the handles of the brief shift whereas the day handle stays put.
