Ok so here is my dilemma. I love pumpkins. I waited too long and missed out on the LVxYK Boulogne. Not much is left in the collection. The Gaston Wearable Wallet & Messenger Trio. I have been buy a lot of small bags lately because I'm not into large bags anymore (except tote bags/Neverfull) (but some have been too small) My Pochette Metis' feel too big right now (They use to be my favorite bag) I do own a Pochette Metis E/W its a good size for me. One of my favorite bags size wise is my Noe Pouch that I added a strap to, also because its soft and flexible. I think the Gaston WW will be a tad too small (like several other bags I've purchased)and I dont like the Gaston strap (the YK is coming with the standard strap, not the one they show on the website with the bag) Will the Messenger Trio be too big. I think it will be light weight which is important as well. I carry a Phone, Mini Pochette, 4 key holder, Romy wallet.

I was on the fence purchasing a bag with the pumpkins because I was worried about chipping & how the paint would wear. I guess that is going out the window with my up coming birthday and love for pumpkins!

Please advise: Do you like your Messenger Trio? Is it too structured and does that make it awkward? Is it too big? Does anyone own The Messenger trio and a Pochette Metis or Noe Pouch that you could take comparison photos so I can get a feel for the size. Or the Gaston WW and a Pochette Accessories. Thank you in advance :heart:Screenshot_20231008_205701_Louis Vuitton.jpgScreenshot_20231008_205520_Louis Vuitton.jpg

Good morning @MeepMeep67! Happy Birthday, and you did a great job describing what you like and why. I have a mono eclipse trio messenger, as does @Iamminda, @EmmJay and I know at least a few others.

I actually love mine. When I need to carry more, I use both pouches, and I also carry each one alone depending on where I’m going. My 15 promax phone fits in the smaller pouch too. It’s a great salon bag for me as it’s black and grey (not that I’m planning for a color disaster at the salon, but jic as my hair is darker - I can also wear the bag under the cape comfortably as I move through the cut and color process. I don’t like leaving bags unattended anywhere). And @Iamminda recently posted here smaller pouch with a gorgeous silver chain - and no reason not to change out straps if you want. I use my mono eclipse reverse strap from my keepall xs as a different option.

The black guitar strap on this bag is comfortable for me, and as a taller person, men’s straps allow me to adjust to the perfect on the hip crossbody with room left over. Overall, I highly recommend it. I don’t find the bag too structured, although I know that’s a really personal feel or preference. But when I wear all the pieces the bag feels very casual - the small pouch alone dressed up maybe not as casual. It’s also a lightweight bag for me. And the bigger pouch holds quite a lot. I have considered a Gaston wallet too, but it feels a bit too small for me.

I don’t have a noe, but I do have a PM, it’s still dark out, but I can snap a comparison pic later. HTH! It sounds like pumpkins are a great match for you. good luck as you decide. :flowers:

Thank you DrTr   I did see IAM's post w/the small pouch (I just didnt realize it was from the Messenger!) the pouch seems really handy. I do like the guitar straps (but dont like the standard gaston WW clips they look too wide) I thought the same thing I can use my strap from my Keepall xs sunset.

I can fit my bare essentials in a Pochette Accessories im wondering if the Gaston WW is the same size as the PA or smaller.

Hi MM. Happy Birthday . I know you love pumpkins and it’s too bad the Boulogne is no longer available. I really love the look of the pumpkin Trio Messenger and would have gotten it if I didn’t already have the regular Trio Messenger. Like DrTr, I love my Trio M. It’s such a great buy with four pieces that I can use separately. Guess you saw my recent post with the medium pouch as a small crossbody (I added a silver chain and a non-LV leather strap). I have used the guitar strap with my Twist MM before (my Twist has a removable strap). I really love the versatility and the look of the monogram eclipse and reverse monogram eclipse. Adding the gorgeous YK pumpkins to it just makes it that much better and special . With that said, I sometimes think the large pouch by itself may look a little boxy on me due to the shape and my petite size (I love it regardless but am just being objective about it). For me, the Trio M holds about as much as my P Metis so it may be a little big for since you said the PM is too big for you. But between the Trio M and the Gaston, I would pick the Trio M personally. Sometimes our lifestyle changes and what we need to carry may change as well so I think the Gaston may be too small in the long run. Then again, you already have larger bags such as the PM. Sorry I am not helping since I think neither one is 100% perfect for you based on what you said (one is little too small, the other little too big). But you can’t really go wrong with either since it’s a bit of a collector’s piece so maybe not an everyday workhorse. Which one are you leaning toward in your heart? Good luck deciding .

I will try to take a comparison picture of the Trio and PM if DrTr hasnt already posted one.

Great points A! I find the trio messenger a fine fit, as I’m taller and not petite. Bigger pouch is a bit boxy, but it still lays flat somehow on me, probably because of where I adjust it to hit at slightly below my hip. The PM is thicker than the trio, but they are very similar in size. I took photos of both, along with a FP, so it might give you an idea. I also zoomed in on the hardware as the LV clips that hold both pouches are large as they are considered “male”. I showed the FP clasp for size difference. I took 2 more pics with my PA. The PA seems only slightly bigger than the Gaston. It’s so strange how my iPhone camera adds white dots and spots on the bags and table, but they are not visible to my eye. I also tried to get pics in a particular order, but it’s a jumble.

I hope the comparison shots help - it’s a big decision especially if we can’t see in person! Let us know what you decide, I know you’ve been thinking about pumpkins for a long time!! I like the trio with pumpkins - and instead of the key pouch in my trio you get a pumpkin coin purse. It’s a very flexible adaptable set of pouches. :flowers:

Of course A! I always appreciate so much when others have done the same for me and others here. It’s so helpful to see bags right next to each other. Between all of us here we can usually find someone that knows or has the exact right answer or combination of bags/experiences. Hope this helps you make your decision @MeepMeep67! :flowers:

Thank you my dear friend!!This is very helpful and you are right, the 4 pieces makes many options. The size of my Pochette Metis' is fine (they just felt alittle heavy! since I wasnt used to carrying very much) I agree with lifestyle changes the Gaston would be too small and I have ended up with a lot of small bags. Im seriously considering the Messenger Trio Thanks to you and DrTr

Thank you my dear friend! This is a huge help!!!! And your Felicie is fantastic, thats a beautiful combo. It is so very helpful to see the bags next to each other. Ive looked up all the measurements and even cut the sizes out on paper :lol:which doesnt really work. Seeing the comparison photos works!! So the MT looks shorter 1" than the Pochette Metis, which would be nice. I do like the hardware on the MT. Thank you for doing this, Im pretty sure I would like the YK Messenger Trio!

Of course!! Thanks for your compliments - that FP was my only Kusama piece, and black and fuschia are almost irresistible to me.
I laughed in recognition, as I too have eviscerated paper grocery sacks to construct a “a model” bag when trying to figure out a size would work without having access to the bag. it does help, but it’s not the same. I do think you said the TM is an inch shorter than the PM, but when I hold mine together, the larger Trio pouch seems the same length. Of course sometimes bags don’t measure exactly what the website says. The smaller pouch does hold quite a bit.

It’s hard to decide without all the bags right next to each other sometimes - I end up feeling like Goldilocks - this one’s too big, this one’s too small, and THIS one is JUST right. At least with LV if you order the Trio and it doesn’t work you can return it. Can’t wait to see what you do, birthday girl!!:flowers::heart:

You are so funny! The Goldilocks analogy is so true! and the grocery bag model!!!! I guess I meant the Pochette Metis is 1" taller in height thank the MT? I tried on my Pochette Metis today and the foot print is a good one for me & doesnt feel huge. and true if I dont absolutely love it, I can return it. Thank you:heart::heart::heart:

:P I think we all can be Goldilocks around here! Actually the PM is the same height as the TM too. At least mine are the same size. If the PM feels fine to you, the TM is smaller feeling as it’s two pouches rather than one larger piece. I’m really excited for you!!
