Calling all Italians what's on your right hand/wrist

I'm half Italian and it should also be noted that I am an eighteen-year-old male community college freshman.

Anyway, I rarely splurge on gold, and on such occasions I buy pendants and rings because they are less expensive than a typical link bracelet.

With that being noted, I usually wear a sterling silver Gucci horsebit round link ID bracelet which you may be able to track down. It's a European size 17, approximately seven inches long, and unisex. It retails for US $500.

I do get a lot of compliments on it, and it's a casual right-wrist bracelet with just enough embellishment to be characteristically Gucci.

Since you're looking for something with a distinctly Italian flavor I would consider Gucci, Bvlgari, some other Italian fashion or jewelry house, or a piece of Tiffany jewelry made in Italy.

You could also go to the website www.thesartorialist.com and check out the local fashion pages in Milano and the like. Perhaps you'll find some inspiration.

You'll feel like a million bucks, even if you're in the middle of an organic chemistry lecture!:p

Hello,

I will have a look for the bracelet and also at the brands mentioned above.

Which piece of Tiffany would you recommend?

I will also look at the website you mentioned.

Thank you for the advice,

My right wrist is usually naked as I find bracelets get in the way at work. Sometimes I do wear my silver Tiffany Venitian link bracelet. For weekends and nights out, I sometimes were costume jewelry on my right wrist... bracelets are hard for me b/c I have very tiny wrists.

On my right hand I usually wear a statement ring (given to me by my dbf) on my fourth finger.

the way my mom and grandma look at it - if its gold it has to be yellow ;)

needless to say i wear a ring on my right hand (changes - usually diamonds but sometimes some cute fashion jewelry), sometimes my tiffanys bracelet but other than that not much.

Shopaholic, I would definitely go for something Elsa Peretti as her designs are usually made in Italy.

For a bold look I'd go with the Elsa Peretti Charcoal Bone Cuff in size small. It comes in silver ($695) or ruthenium finished copper ($395). It also comes in eighteen karat gold if you have that budget.

Another Tiffany choice would be this cuff. I own one myself. It's made in Italy and its delicate enough that my aunt actually borrows it from time to time lol.

If you want something more obscure you could try www.forzieri.com.
They carry a lot of original Italian items at bargain prices.

And then there is always Bvlgari. It has very Greco-Roman inspired jewels. It's also very expensive.

I'm sure you'll find something perfect for you!

And I almost forgot, you're welcome! Thanks for valuing my advice, I really appreciate it. I am a newbie to this forum after all.

It's all very interesting especially for a budding young jeweler like me.

My father came from Italy, so I have a special place in my heart for Gucci. Anytime I visited Rome, the Spanish Steps was my first stop. I wear the gold Cartier love bracelet on my left wrist, and usually an Hermes Clic Clac on the right. One of my favorite wedding bands is a Gucci Gold cigar band that I stack with two thin gold bands on either end. It's very wide and classic.
