I checked out the large one at jfk’s duty free which offered a few hundred dollars off the price as tax free incentive and I found it a good size and style for me but I wanted to see what tpf had to say first.

I really liked the quilted snake effect bag and tried that exact burgandy colour. I wish they offered more metallics or blended shades than just solid colours. I also remarked about the delicate chain should the bag get really used.’

I have the small top handle that I bough in Italy. I love the design and the fact that not many people know about this. I have another small version of Serpenti Forever in metallic pink. The chain is very nice and different from any other chain that I have seen in other brands. This is good for day to night. For metallic color, it looks a bit more dressy. Totally recommend.

Hey! I'm considering getting a Bvlgari Serpenti Bag soon, and I love literally all of the designs. In my opinion, Bvlgari's collection is much more understated, classy, and quality-focused. Right now I'm looking into the Diamond Blast Shoulder Bag in black or emerald green...don't know yet! I would love to know if any of you have had any experience with the calfskin (not the quilted models) scratching. I would rather get a Serpenti Forever model but I'm worried it will show wear as the leather looks quite delicate.
I totally agree with all of you when it comes to quality and craftsmanship...I was looking at a classic flap, a Lady Dior, or an Alma BB as the next addition to my collection but I hate that the quality has declined so much in the past couple of years. I just hate how so many houses have been ignoring their creative integrity in order to keep up with trends, especially the uber logo-focused one. I would much rather get a Loewe, Senreve (although this is more of a contemporary designer), or Bvlgari model.

Reactions: A bottle of Red
I Bought two during November. The red bag is the smaller option in calf leather and green is the larger karung skin. So in love with them. Its a timeless and understated bag, many people have complimented when i've worn them which is nice as they like it without knowing the brand or the price.
In your experience, does the metallic calfskin scratch easily? I really want one but I'm so worried it will show wear within the first years of purchase

Has the red calfskin scratched easily? I really want one but I'm so worried it will scratch easily :/

so did you manage to get one?
I was wondering is it common that the flap area creases or will it crack after much use because mine did have some creases/wrinkling. :-s I'm wondering will it worsen and should I sent it for a bag spa asap. Am I too rough on my bag? :confused1: I'm so scared it will end up cracking :crybaby:

Hey love! I haven't gotten it just yet as I am planning on doing it once I travel to Europe since they are less expensive there. As far as top flap cracks, I have seen several cases where this is the case...maybe contact your SA or send an email through the Bvlgari website? I have been in contact with several SAs from Spain and France and I must say that their service is impeccable even when they know that I will be making my purchase next year. I don't know if you're being too rough on your bag but as far as I know, it shouldn't happen :((( but as I said before, it is not a unique case. How often do you use your bag? How long have you had it in your possession? In what weather do you carry it? There are soo many factors as to why leather can crack so I couldn't say if it is 100% on your end or if the case is attributed to a different cause.
Bvlgari doesn't offer spa services but I do know that if you have purchased your bag recently they should be able to replace it as it sounds like it is a production flop. Please update your case as it is very important to know these things. Also, don't sweat it if they can't do anything for you. If this is the case, I would take it to a reputable leather specialist or to a bag spa so that they can restore it if it is in a state where it is unwearable. It is better than nothing! If you do go this route, be careful with whom you trust your bag. I inherited a vintage Chanel single flap from the 80s that my great-aunts sent to be restored and the specialist removed the serial number and the entire inside of the bag so it is worth virtually nothing anymore so I would 100% be careful with that :) Much love!!!
