Oh my gosh ! It’s hollow ? So not worth the current price if that’s true . I used to like the look in pictures but I’m growing less in love with it over time. It was disappointing when I heard about the semipave one opening increasing with wear between the head and the tail.

I think it’s hollow to allow for the flexible mechanism—you have to twist it on, like the slim JUC. I think they are pricing their pieces similarly to the Cartier ones, such as the regular JUC, but the regular JUC is not hollow and very heavy and substantial. Personally I think 7k is a reasonable price, but it is outrageous at its current price.
I too wanted this bracelet but now that ship has sailed. I don’t think it’s worth the price it is today.

If it had been 7k I would have said yes but 12k I could get something better .
Yes my SA mentioned that it is hollow with a wire mechanism.
The SA also mentioned that by time it will stretch out since you cant sleep with it and you will have to put it on and take it off each day hence the stretching. He even recommended to go with a snug fit so it wont become too big. The instructions sounded more suited for a pair of jeans but not for a gold bracelet lol….thats why I was hesitant.
It looks so beautiful and really elegant tbh and can be worn by itself or stacked. Very elegant, but I cant justify the price it is at now.
I remember seeing the full pave serpenti bracelet when it was $18,000, and no one was posting this line in tpf. This was before covid of course. That time, the sales people were very pushy too but also very nice, they gave lots of gifts - books. lol
I think the new generation of young adults and some of us who have seen these crazy price increases are dropping luxury goods, and I don’t blame them. There is an anti-luxury goods movement on social media it seems.
People are starting to carry those mini Trader Joe totes over Birkins, and decorating them with labubus in affluent neighborhoods around SCP. Can’t say I blame them. 😂

The double full pave coil I believe was $75,000 before and now is $80,000

The full pave serpenti viper bracelet in YG/RG went from $39,800 to $41,200. That’s only $3k short of Cartier’s full pave YG/RG bangle.

The double pave I wanted is now $84,000. Omg. 20k price increase in one year is crazy.
It is truly madness. The pave necklace is now 65k for the short version and 91k for the long. So if someone wants a matching set of pave pieces, they are expected to pay over six figures. Just crazy.
The pieces are beautiful, but their value is not consistent on the resale market. I can't imagine demand is THAT high? I fear they are going to make the same mistake Chanel made of taking price increases too high. Lets not forget none of these pieces are considered high jewelry!
Pavé Serpenti Viper (RG & YG) went from $52k to $53k - $1,000 increase in price for Canadians.
I have been dragging my feet on a B zero 1 or Serpenti necklace. Waiting on a bonus from work 😫 both increased $500 in the USA.
I feel you. The bracelet I have been eyeing increased nearly 20k from the time I first added it to my wishlist. Not sure when enough Is going to be enough?
