I bought my love second hand and sent it in for polishing and engraving- no issue at all!
Can i ask if you had the certificate of authenticity? i am hoping to do this next week but I’m worried! I got the ring from TRR so im not worried about authentication but rather that Cartier wont polish or engrave it

I’ve never needed the paperwork for repair or service for Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger le coultre, IWC, Breguet, or ALange &Soehne. Some of us started buying watches when keeping box and papers wasn’t so important (papers were just a little booklet). And, many of us have watches from family or loved ones.

Hi everyone! just to update you - i went to the chicago cartier store and had nothing - no box receipt COA etc and they just got me to make an account and did an engraving and cleaning! the sa even gave me a travel pouch which i appreciated sooo much. i def recommend buying from the real real if you want to save a few hundred! im very happy with my purchase and the service at the chicago store

Would Cartier have grounds to deny service of a piece purchased second hand? Even if you don't mention it, they will see a different name on file when they verify the serial number. That would be difficult to deny. Or would it be possible to change the name on file? Also, how does one verify the piece is not stolen?

With JUC and Love bracelets commonly needing mechanism repairs, for example, I would want the ability to get service. It seems like a big risk to buy this way even though the savings can be significant.

No, they can not deny you service, even if you bought it second hand from someone else. Although, the jewelry or watch piece has to be authentic! Also, Cartier does NOT authentic any second hand pieces. They will either service the authentic piece or give it back to you not serviced and tell you that they can not service the piece further.
